Sam looked at the guy who just totally sexually assaulted Harkin, 'Hes coming after me next...and I'm out of juice!' Even though her powers were worn out she still had her marshal arts, she grabbed the guys arm twisted it around and over herself getting behind him and slammed him on a near by wall( cop judo style), she didn't have the strength to keep him there for long but she hoped Andrew would help detain this prev.
Wench? As in...? Oh that dirty sonofa-. Harkin stormed after him. "Hey! Youre the one who kidnapped me and kissed me! And know your getting your butt kicked by my apprentice. Well done." She blew a strand of hair out of her face. "Sam. let him go." She nudged Derek out of the way and took Sam into her arms. She held her like a mother would her child. "Lets get you to your room."
Derek smiled. Looking at Andrew with a wink, he gave a little push of his fingers on her arm which detained him. He increased the Newtons of the force, just enough for the push to throw her off of him and into Harkin's arm, but not high enough to hurt her.
Turning again to face her, he spoke.
''What manner of person are you?''
Looking back at Harkin.
''You shall not escape me, wench. Nor your little companion. I will quickly find the truth to all this''.
Derek smiled. Indeed, he had lost himself. I would not happen again.
''Well, little one, just be careful. I believe you have stepped into something you do not fully comprehend... For your saftey of course''.
He couldn't neglect the bravery she had to have to confront him.
''Bravery is only temporary, that quickly turns to fear in situations unexcpected''.
With that, he turned and went to meet with Andrew to discuss further the matter.
"Hmm what a weird-O," but he is kinda cute, she thought she shook her head to get rid of the idea. Anyways Sam knew Harkin was up to something from the first time they met, she knew this world well, nobody does anything without getting something in return but she wanted to feel like some one cared about her even though it was going to hurt at the end.
Ben was magickally alerted by Lance when the agents appeared. He prepared himself to defend the students, but was thoroughly pleased to see that all of them were so involved with their fights that they noticed nothing out of order. He was observing things through Katt's eyes and only relaxed once Lance, Katt and Vash turned them away. Things were beggining to stir with the government again and he, along with the other heroes did not like it one bit. This strikeforce thing could not come at a better time. They were going to need all the help they could get.
"Well now that our little friend is gone I think I'm going to head back outside. Call me if you need me." Katt told both Lance ad Vash as she began to make her way back outside. Her long silky hair bounced as she walked toward a door which lead to her and Ben room." Guess I really wouldn't have been a match for them in this skirt anyway .Better change into something a bit more appropriate incase." She stood looking at her clothes until she set a white halter top and blue jeans off to the side. Still there was no way she was switching into anything than her heels. Finally she could head back to the field to see what was happening.
At club Thunder Puss DJ stood dancing with a crowd of people." You guys know how to club."
"What?" Some random feral asked
"I SAID YOU GUYS KNOW HOW TO PARTY!!!"
"STILL CAN"T HEAR YOU..THE MUSIC IS TOO LOUD!!!" The feral responded.
Naomi noticed Ben tense up out of the corner of her eye. When his eyes shifted to pitch black, she got nervous. He stared off into space for a short while and then relaxed with a concerned look on his face. "Mr. Mason? Are you okay? Your eyes went all dark and you looked all kinds of dangerous." Ben sighed, "It is nothing you have to worry about, young one. You just heal up and be prepared for your next match." He smiled at her as he got up and headed for the school. Naomi was dazed at Mr. Mason's smile. She stared at him stupidly as he walked away and had to catch herself from drooling. Goodness, that's a fine man, rhe thought to herself. Too bad he's married. But I wonder what's got him so bent out of shape. She tested her nose. It hurt like hell, but at least it wasn't bleeding anymore. When she fell on her face in her and Vixen's fight, that fractured her nose. But when Vixen jumped on her face, that finished breaking it. Luckily, Naomi healed fast. She continued to sit and heal.
Walking down the halls Katt couldn't help but to think what was about to happen. Something big for sure and her feline side didn't even have to prompt that warning. Her fingers run through her hair as she continued to walk the empty hallway. The whole time her head hung down as she was deep in thought. So deep she wasn't even play attention that Ben's scent was becoming stronger. "I really don't understand why would he just up and leave like that…Why come here talk a good game, have backup with deadly weapons just to leave. That was far too easy . I would bet he’s planning a raid . He has to be.”
"And we would be ready for that, babe," Ben said as he walked up to Katt. He caught her thoughts and was in total agreement with them. "I would bet bet my last dollar that that was a scouting team. All of their thoughts were slient to me. Not blocked, like one would do to keep a psychic out, but literally slienced. Magickally. Someone powerful and skilled in magicks is working with them. And considering Harkin is here and Lance is one of us, I could not begin to imagine who it is."
Katt looked up ready to claw her husband to death." Never every do that again. I know I'm feral but goodness hunny.. I waas about to jump on you." She stood listening to what he was saying." Hmm it's either that or they are androids. Who ever is working with him told him a few that we kept our psychotic meta-humans here which is weird because Harkin is the only person we are hold. What's worst of all is I'm afraid something is about to happen. I just wish I knew what it was so we could stop it. Good thing this strike force is coming along well. We might need them soon"
"I was thinking the very same thing. But whoever makes the team is going to have to train rigorously to keep up with us." He then chuckeled, "I have enjoyed this moment of downtime but I guess it is back to work for us. Come. The fights are interesting. Some of the students seem to lack the proper motivation. But others are pretty good."
" I guess this whast I get for complaining about starting to get bored. Next time I'll enjoy every moment of not having to run around out there playing superhero., but yeah lets get going...by the way how is your student doing so far? She looks like a promising one from what I had seen in the ring. "
