(Taking over Shal's characters until she returns if that's okay with you, Mel? It'd be okay with her.)
Just as Naomi got comfortable in her bed, Andrew's announcement sounded.
"Omg! Didn't you guys just get back," Naomi's roommate, Serenity, whined. She was fast asleep when Naomi came in but awakened when the Strike Force member came into the room with an uncharacteristic rudeness.
"Shouldn't you people have been debriefed when you landed?"
Naomi let out a heavy sigh and slinked out of her bed. "I'm really sorry to wake you, Serenity. I didn't know you went to Russia with us. I didn't see you fighting all kinds of powered-up thugs. You held us save Lucian? How'd you get back so fast?" She slammed the door as she left out and dragged herself to Mr. Brok's lab.
Katt was doing some reconnisance at Club Thunder. She had her eyes on two obvious-looking Shira'the(spelling?) thugs. They were in a realativly empty corner of the club. People either didn't notice them, which Katt quickly dismissed based on how large they were; they were intimidated by them; or they just didn't care.
She was dancing with the crowd and looked like any other clubber, so no one noticed that she was slowly making her way closer to the two by dancing through the crowd. A muscular guy, in a way too tight tee-shirt, all of a sudden grabbed her by her hip and started grinding on her. She smiled, grabbed him by the neck to bring his face close to hers and said, "That pencil in your pocket is poking me in the back. Why don't you go take care of that before I snap it in two." The guy immediately backed off.
When Katt was close enough that her feral hearing would allow her to eavesdrop on the two aliens, Andrew's announcement came over the com-link. She ignored it, hoping to gather some kind of info on the alien spacecraft hovering around the earth. She'd just have to get debriefed later. No one wanted another alien attack.
Tori was doing some debriefing of her own. She and Jordan were filling each other in on seperate matters. Tori was telling Jordan about the mission's miniscule success and Lance's going beserk on Issac, and Jordan was giving Tori the five-o about himself, Turok and Gilgamesh and their days back in ancient Rome. At the behest of Andrew, the two made their way to the lab.
Janet was busy trying to figure out who was psionically screaming for her help and hadn't even heard Andrew's announcenment. She wasn't even on school grounds any more. She was letting her powers guide her. Her energy was steadily draining from her. She worried about this, but it was far back in her mind. In fact, Janet was only seeing where she was going. She temporaraly gave control to the Phoenix so she would find what was calling her.
She could feel herself slip away into the confines of her own mind and surprisingly enough, she was okay with that. She wasn't foolish enough to think she could seperate herself and the Phoenix for any period of time. That would be akin to denying a part of her very self. So she let her other half take the reings on this one. Hell, it felt good to let go. She fadingly hoped that she could regain control when she found what so desperately wanted to be found.
