Just as the spiral of fire was about to hit Dark he ripped out one of his feathers and threw it at the flame. A huge explosion of darkness rippled all around the flames and engulfed it, before dissipating completely in the sun rays.
Dark looked around the battlefield for clever ways to stop this by other then force... He glanced over at Vixen. He scanned his possibilities, and found that it would be the most effective one, but using the innocent girl as a body shield would contradict with some of his believes. He shook his head in thought before looking back at Derek. Maybe the guy will give up in his quest to kill Dark if he becomes fatigued enough.

"woooo..." He looked at the fire. This time he wasnt scared. When Vixen was pulled down he let go of Derek. When she leaned her head on his shoulder he felt somthing. He was 100 % in love. As Dark threw his feather, a sparrow flew past. The pointed tip ripped through the small bird's body, causing it to fall into the lake where it slowly sank to the bottom. Vixen's eyes widened and she jumped to her feet, flicking her hand at Dark. "I curse your name!" Her eyes turned white and a white light shot up from the ground beneath him.

Dark listened to Derek's words, and just when he thought the question was simple and opened his mouth to answer, the answer just wouldn't come out of his mind.

Dark watched the crow hit the depth of the lake.
"Poor bird..." he muttered before his attention turned toward Vixen. He saw a white beam come up below him and dashed with his wings out of the way.
