Light vs. Darkness

The evil Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious faces off against the hero of the Mandalorian War & recently reconverted back to the Light Side of the Force, Jedi Knight Revan in...

...the most epic battle of chess ever. Who will emerge victorious?

Discuss.

No Force manipulation? Then Revan. Palpatine's good at demoralization, but Revan's not fool enough to rise to the bait.

lol thought this was gonna be a revan vs sideous spite...

Lol, so did I. I was reading the first part and thinking in my head "Good God, if he offers debate then he's gonna die of embarrassment."

I'm foolish, but not that foolish.

And right, no force abilities. I imagine with precog, a Jedi/Sith chess game would end with a stalemate every time. 😖

Palpatine's mastery of politics, psychology, and long term strategy kick the shit out of Revan's. But Revan is a far superior tactition.

"My force sense .. is tingling .. BISHOP TO B5!"

tehehe. Revan is a master tactician who has lead armies to victory in two wars. I'd say he takes it.

War is just slightly different than war. If it weren't, then Bobby Fischer should be a Theater General right now, or a Joint Chief of Staff. Now, if they sat down to play a game of RISK, hehe, that'd be different.

stillness.... revan wins. cuz he has a cooler outfit, and his mechanic helmet will probably give him logical suggestions. cause its awesome.

... So you're saying?

That I've never played chess. So I don't know which one is greater. Mastery of military tactics or a combination of uberleet psychology, politics, and long-term strategy.

Psychology and long-term strategy are keys for any great chess player. See most of Bobby Fisher's top victories. Especially against the Soviets.

BTW, I think you'd be great at chess with a bit of training, Gideon.

Not that I'm expressly disagreeing, but I don't see how you'd come to that conclusion based on an online, non-chess-related forum.

This gets quoted as proof of your subservience. And btw, Enyalus is my avatar, brought down to this Earth in mortal form.

Got that, Enyalus?

At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we will have revenge.

And that's pretty much your only line until that little grunt you make when Obi-Wan (Subjekt) bisects you and your crap reflexes. But then you'll be reborn with a new sig for your bottom half and nifty avy for your top.
