Everyone's suggesting New York, which has roughly the same amount of crime, actually.
Scans, or it didn't happen.
I have a link that shows New York (both measures) to be in the bottom half of "dangerous cities".
New York-W. Plains NY-NJ M.D ranked 197 down the most dangerous list and New York (greater), NY-NJ-PA ranked 227 down the most dangerous list out of a total of 333 listings.
Here it is...2008, man.

Also, they say Scotland, (More specifically, Glasgow) is pretty damned violent.

"The crimes covered by the figures include assaults, although they exclude muggings on the streets, sexually-related violence and homicides. They reveal the level of violent attacks in Scotland are nearly 10 times higher than police figures suggest."
Where are you getting your stats from?
I found this...

Is that where?
Dude, New York is listed as waaaay safer than OKC...and that's where I live. Glasgow is frequently at the top of the "most violent" in Western Europe, all the time. A google search will net you that. Even a Wiki on it has extensive advice on how not to get your ass beat in Glasgow, which I found hilarious.
