I think hes saying its the reverse as in, people already in poverty are more likely to get involved with drug use in the first place. Then again, Bill Gates did do LSD, maybe it does make you rich.

well it'd be pointless to put down alcohol and tabacco
so yea, weed (the really powerful stuff), still smoking a lot without any imagined side effects
speed, but hardly noticed anything from it (just like with caffeine)
shrooms, these gave me a nasty flashback half a year later for some reason and a nice psychosis as well but got out of it on my own (no nasty medication needed)

atm not addicted to anything, not even tabacco or caffeine >=)

First off, you cant group all pills together. Depending on the pill the effects are vastly different. Think about painkillers compared to Adderall, the effects are practically opposites

And what do you mean by "Trips"? Like tripping on shrooms/LSD? You don't seem to know much about the drugs you do, good luck with that.

Unless he's just making stuff up, it sounds like his weed could have been laced with PCP. I've heard of it happening really rarely, and from my limited knowledge, the effects sound like they match up
