Origin

A retell of his origin.

Powers

Buddy draws his powers from the morphogenic field, or the "Red", which links all animals that have ever existed on Earth.

Prior to his powerup part way through his series, and then a later on in 52, he needed to be close-ish to these animals (more on this power up later).

A small explanation:

Animal Powers

Steals the strength of a T-Rex to pwn it.

Goes badass and owns a guy who's partially responsible for the death of his family.

Badassery

Kills the people responsible for the death of his family.

Animal Powers

Moth's sense of smell ( Moth's smell >> Dog's)

Tune's a dog's attack instincts out of its head.

Stegosaurus/Rhino invulnerability (he was working as a stunt man).

Rat's durability and agility.

Shows some capacity to shape shift (with little control though)

Animal Powers

Walks on water.

Controls some bears to attack some killers.

Earth worm's burrowing, tears through some rubble.

Eagle's vision

Calms some rats

Uses an electric eel's electric powers to pull in a storm.

Super-suck of a matamata turtle

Rhino durability

Animal Powers

Squirts a fire salamander's paralyzing toxin

Wallcrawls like a spider.

Universe Creation

No idea if this is canon anymore, and it's far out, but...

Linking powers with two other people that draw from the M field, they, in unison, create a universe.

I'm pretty much out of scans for now. Feel free to post anything else... if nobody else does, I'll eventually get around to the 52 showings (minus what Galan posted).

This is an important set of scans (from the DC event 52).

If you read Buddy's origin, you'll know that those are the same aliens that originally gave him his powers- and they mention that they've now upgraded him.

Buddy now has access to the Universe's morphogenetic field, allowing him to tap into the powers of any animal that has lived in the entire DCU.

He kicks things off with a bang by stealing the solar battery, maps and teleporting abilities of a Sun Eater.

I think he should be upgraded to a higher tier soon.

Equipment

Animal Man has an AM radio built into is headset/cowl/head of his costume, that he can use to tune in on the fly.

Animal Powers

Grabs the power of an alien that can move at escape velocity.

The power to breath knockout gas. Notice how Buddy can tell where the animal's from and what the purpose of its power is upon adoption.

Laser blast.

Sorts through a bunch of alien dialects. Never seen him use his powers like this before- shows he can steal what animals have learned and developed in addition to base powers.

Alien version of a texas longhorn.

Alien that can control its mass.

"Planet-hopping space bat"

Stomps on a speeding car thats about to hit some kids.

Super speedy flight.

Creates a whirlwind.
