iv'e checked the respect thread, and to be honest I dont consider a PG wielding Champion above Supes and I especially dont consider Hercules/Thing/prof Hulk peers with him. Thor is the only comparable foe and to be honest, Thor has actually handled himself quite well agaisnt Thanos in the past....better then SS has by a wide margin.
Aside from that point, Supes is a different animal then the opponents you've listed and this ABC logic isnt viable.

If they get into a h2h scenario? Most definitely. Doesn't mean its a walk over for the victor but it's a possibility. Thanos is a physical creature in the natural order, he bleeds, he feels pain, he respires he can be ko'd. The guy whose encounter people keep hyping: Odin, is a god from the norse pantheon, those guys died, got hurt, got ko'd etc and Thanos is considered inferior.
I don't know where people get this idea that he can't be ko'd he wouldn't need any shields if he was immune to ko's. He hasn't yet been in the kind of physical scraps Darkseid has endured with people like Orion and Superman, that's more a credit to the writers who haven't yet written a proper Thanos scrap.

No one is low balling Thanos or tring to suggest he is anything less then what he is, Thanos is skyfather and Supes is peak herald...that isnt a refutable claim. What we are arguing is this"Thanos OMGWTFPWNS Supes 100/10"claim.
IMO, I see Supes h2h skill,combat speed and striking power as being formidable enough that Thanos will not be able to tag hin in close quarters. After a legthy period of time being Supes target dummy, I can see a worn out supes falling pray to either a contaiment block or TP on the account of his weaken state. Thanos will look like hell by the time it comes to that point however and may even fall to a KO or 2.
