Rek nodded, and glanced around. "Have any of the others made it out?" He picked up the assualt rifle he dropped and replaced the clip. "That was wierd. I was just chased by some kind of shadow creature" (I haven't heard anything from Kelsey in 2 Months, and I don't think darkxbox (Mando) is bothered anymore)

OOC: I just realised that I have attempted to kill Rek about four times now. Once in the first episode, twice in the second episode and once in this one. I'm lookng forward to readng our adventures in a book someday.

((Looks like it's just us. Just like the other two. I kinda knew we would be the ones finishing this one as well.))

Jacob stood and brushed himself off, picking Ben up with one hand, while re-holstering his pistol. He helped Ben into the chopper, and then made sure that Savannah was safely strapped in. "The explosives are about to go off, so if anyone is still in here.. they're dead either way. I'm sorry, man."

((If they still want to, they can just say they washed up on the drilling platform's dock.))

Rek hesitated. "I- I can't let Kat-" He swallowed, glancing behind him. With a rattle in his breath he closed his eyes and turned and took Jacob's grip. "Lets go." He firmed his resolve. "I set my explosives."

(why an oil platform, why not the Cornwall, abandoned towns)

"We've got about two minutes to get off this ship!" The pilot nodded and lifted the chopper into the air. It seemed like an eternity before the chopper left the ship, but it finally got about a good thirty yards away before the first explosives went off.

The initial explosion did very little visual damage, however the subsequent explosions completely shattered the hull of the ship, and created a huge pyro-technic display, that buffeted the helicopter.

Rek held on to the hold bar as the sea's wind swayed the chopper about, looking with a hint of sadness at the sinking ship; Kat.

Rek turned to Jacob. "I need a drink."

(Jacob?)

Jacob gripped the hand bar, and Savannah tightly, while at the same time, leaning against Ben so he stayed in his seat. "Lieutenant, we're low on fuel, and we aren't going to make it for too long. I advise that we set down on that oil rig, and refuel there.." Jacob looked to Rek, and then back at the pilot. "That's my vote."

"Well, I don't think we have a choice do we?" He kept his grip firm on the hand bar. "But as soon as we finish this up, your buying me a drink."

The chopper swooped in low over the rig, an initial fly-by. "Seems deserted, sirs." The pilot said. "All I am getting is a landing beacon, very weak."

"Its the only place we can refuel that is in range, sirs. I have no idea where the other chopper is, I'm not getting a return signal. But its up too you we either risk landing, or we swim the rest of the way, sirs." The pilot looked over the vibrating cockpit hatchway at the three Hazmats.

*bumpity bump*

Jacob grabbed his weapon and so did the others with him. "We're going to set down and take all of these mother ****ing freaks out. We've stopped these things before, so let's show these monsters why they don't mess with the most bad ass Hazmat squad on the force!"

Rek smiled. "You're forgetting Jacob. We are the Force. The only orginazed force left in possibly the world." ((I'll be on later, with a fuller post))

Rek smiled. ((Nice signature))

The chopper swung around the base of the oil-rig, giving all of them a god view of the strong stilts, before finally coming up to a shuddering halt on the helipad. The sounds of the angry sea rising and falling with the wind, and the sound of the choppers rotor blades as they slowed.

His boots met the clang of the metal with a thud of their own. Rek was first out, closely followed by Sam. The two sweeped the pad, and the general vicinity by visual check. "Its clear, lieutenant."

Rek nodded and rose his right hand, motioning with a hand-signal for the rest to exit the chopper. "Its' too quiet." He said into his helmets internal com-set. He went down on one knee and kept his rifle ready. "Hey, do you think any of the others made it." He kept his eyes peeled for trouble, he could no longer feel the infection in him, perhaps he had beaten it, or it was simply part of his body now so he couldn't tell the differance.

Frank, pushed himself from the co-pilots seat, scrambling over the door. "I'll get the bird refuelled, you sit tight."

The pilot, pulled of his helmet, rolling his eyes to the LtCmdrs words. "Like theres anywhere left to go but up. No fuel."

Sam grimaced as the sun broke through the clouds, hurting his tired eyes. "Shall we look around?"

in the distance, the ship they had all been on came into view. in the bridge, carlos and what remained of his squad kept control as they passed, the front door of the bridge opened and they moved onto the catwalk, waving to the helicopter. "hey! we need some help over here. the charges are set but we dont have much tim..." his voice drifted off as the ship moved away once again.

Well, the ship, it blew up, silly boy. You'd wash up on the dock if you like 🙂

oh, kk))

carlos washed onto the dock, his helmet cracked and slowly filling with water. he pulled himself up onto the worn wood, pulling off his helmet and spitting seawater. his eyes glowed a luminescent red as he picked himself up. his hands had formed bloodied claws. "dead..." he murmured, dragging his broken and burnt leg under him. "they're all dead!!!"

Now that WAS cool.

who said i couldnt be cool sometimes... oh yeah, i did.))
