Or because her level of expectation was so low that when she managed not to totally shat her panties the people on your side of the aisle are pleased as pansies. I find it funny how people who know they're smarter than Frau Palin think so poorly of her, but aren't willing to admit it. You know you're being pandered to by the choice, but you think she's the second coming simply to do what; win a bet, win an argument, love your country the most? People who support this woman are claiming the mantle of Joe-Six-Pack, despite realizing it's a ****ing insult. They're doing the same thing they did when they called their economic plan "Trickle down economics". They're telling you they're pissing on you and you're believing things will get better if they do. It's like buying into the notion that the democrats WANT to raise your taxes while ignoring the fact thay have to raise them to pay off the debt your supposedly small-government minded, always socializing the nation republicans have done nothing to counter. God damn public healthcare, when the republicans just held up a national Wall Street bail out until they could tack on 140 billion dollars worth of pork. They held up the "bail out" until they could tack on their own obscene proposals. And it wasn't just the republicans; some democrats added to it, as well. Is that socialist tab so high when the bill for 140 billion comes right after a 800 billion dollar check for the bail out? No, it doesn't.
Look back over the history books that are supposedly vindicating Mr. Bush. Fiscal responsability doesn't belong to the republicans, it belongs to the democrats. REalism is an important part of actual government, when opposed by the fairy-tale government of republicans that think they can spend with no consideratin of the debt man coming to call.
How about the war? 1 trillion dollars of debt over the course of 7 years v. 300 billion over the same time to treat, educate and improve the lives of your kids doesn't seem so bad, does it?
