Shuma loses out of his own dimension 10/10. Shuma loses in his own dimension also 10/10. 😛
Imperiex is leagues above him.

In case you didn't know what Shuma could do, here ya go.
Powers and abilitiesImmortality,
Mystical powers,
Virtually omnipotent in native dimension,
Tentacular form possesses superhuman strength and resilience.Shuma-Gorath is a powerful and ancient demon of the highest order and possesses vast supernatural powers. He is essentially invincible to anything but the most powerful magic. He has superhuman strength and endurance which, being magical in nature, are incalculably high. Because of his body's unique form, he has the ability to shapeshift and even liquefy himself.
He also has the ability to generate several forms of energy attacks, mostly forming from his one eye. One attack not generated from his eye is when he forms a ball of pure energy that can shatter realities using all of his tentacles to generate the ball above himself.
He has powers similar to voodoo, which he demonstrated by creating a miniature replica of the planet Earth, and then transferring the effects on the replica to the real earth. He is capable of draining the magical energy of other beings, as Sise-Neg noted.
He can also teleport and phase at will and levitate. He can enter and leave different planes of existence and dimensions at will and has reality warping powers. He can also summon demons and other supernatural creatures to do his bidding.
His intelligence is nearly immeasurable, approaching omniscience.
In his video game appearances he demonstrates various magical abilities, including energy projection, shape-changing, teleportation, and vampiric abilities, as well as the ability to project explosive eyes as projectiles.
So how does Imperiex wins every time?
I didn't play any of the Marvel vs. Capcom video games (he appears in there, right?), but I did read his actual appearances and he didn't impress me a whole lot.
Simple fact is that Shuma is Elder God level, which is maybe just above Skyfather. Imperiex is easily high abstract level. He's got way more impressive feats, too.
Yeah he was in the game and he was really kick ass in that game once you pulled off his combos and that one super where he swallows you and takes like 2/3s of your life. It says that he is invincible to all damage except the most powerful magic. I'm no Imperiex expert but I don't think his powers are magical, I may be wrong though. The fact that he is near omnipotent in his own dimension clearly gives him the majority of wins in his home.
