Death of Luke Skywalker:
What would be an acceptable Death for Luke? He is the center of the saga, and the most powerful Jedi in history. How could an EU author have him killed without making his death seem:
a. pointless like pellaeon,
b. stupid like Lumiya (talk about anti-climatic)
c. ridiculous like Caedus (how many holes did he have in him at the end? and jaina wasn't his equal, lol, and gideon before you get on me for PIS hypocrisy again, i'd like to start with: they were NOT on equal footing)
d. as a by-product of ANOTHER plot line like the world brain?
(did anyone else think it odd how one second, this world brain is this all important factor, the next its gone, and no one cares, and it doesnt' affect the story one iota?
How could they do it? IMO, Ghanner Rhysode recieved one of the greatest deaths in all of Star Wars history. That man WAS a hero, against impossible odds, killing troops coming at him, i believe the book says "one at a time, then in pairs, then in squads, then in regiments" (that was from memory, don't quote me)
Then, he accomplished his mission with his death, and by letting Jacen get to talk to the world brain, he may have won the war against the Vong.
Nothing pointless about that death.
They should give Skywalker nothing less. What do you think?
