TOAA vs. THOTU vs. The Presence

Is this a three way tie?

Wurd.

Unless TOAA wants to take away Thanos' power, and then it's a two-way tie.

Between TOAA and The Presence. Since they are both the Supreme beings of thier respective Realities. Thanos can't be supreme and TOAA be supreme now can he?

TOAA is so great and so awesome that he made Thanos the Supreme Being because he was all like, "**** it. Someone else do the work. Here's the power to do it." Within the Marvel Universe, Thanos with the HOTU was Supreme.

TOAA could've simply took it away by erasing it, or somesuch thing, because he exists as an out-of-universe source, which is why you see LT depicted, you see Eternity depicted, you see Thanos with HOTU depicted, but you never see a representation of TOAA unless it's the writer being shown.

And yet He was still over Thanos and thus supreme ruler of the marvel realities.

Within the Marvel Universe, no he was not. Everything that the TOAA was in the context of in-universe, Thanos became.

I suppose you could compare Thanos with the HOTI with Michael. Both wielding the power of the Supreme Being - yet while Michael serves that Supreme Being, Thanos literally becomes It.

No he never became the supreme being. If he did, he would have stayed that way. The supreme used him. So he was never supreme. How can you be supreme and be someone else's pawn? U can't.

He didn't "use him", he tricked him, by giving him the ultimate power.

He was manipulated by the master manipulator. manipulated. MANIPULATED.

God damn. Marvel states it. Several times. Take up your complaints with them. Thanos with the HOTI became the Supreme Being in the Marvel Universe. The end.

(Pun intended)

Prior to him having gained the HOTI....

Marvel states it? No they don't. Characters state that he has supreme power. marvel says he basicallly becomes God. And I haven't seen that in any bios. It's all up to fanatical interpretation. In the book, it never states that he is now the one above all. If he had, then The LT would have never challenged him. He would have served him.

Clever cookie.

By 'Marvel,' I meant their characters. But, in a technical sense, you would be right.

..........................................................................

Here's Thanos' 2008 bio: (at the bottom)

Excerpt from Thanos' own Bio:

http://www.marvel.com/universe/Thanos

" ... Known as the Heart of the Universe,
from which all energy physical and metaphysical emanates,
and thereby gained infinite power ...

... Thanos decided that the true sign of his ultimate power,
would be to destroy the universe
and become the One true Supreme Being
... "

Right, what would Eternity know?

Thanos says:

"Eternity, you must sense that Everything the Almighty was I now am,

did you ever dare demand anything from Him"

Eternity responds,

"No, but" .... (Eternity is actually acknowledging that Thanos speaks the truth)

..................................................................................................

"And I, like He was, am now the Author of All That Will Be ...

my Will is Supreme"

That was Jim Starlin, who also said in another interview that the IG makes one GOD,

NOT LIKE God ... but just GOD!!!! ... in plain english.

"The Infinity Gauntlet,
a story that dealt with the idea of a nihilist (Thanos) becoming God"

..........................................................................................

Jim Starlin himself adds:

"I've done the good side of God and the bad side of God,
I've gone as far as I can with the Infinity Gauntlet
"

..........................................................................................

On Panel verification:

"Thanos ... In-effect became God"

..........................................................................................

Is the IG above the LT? No ... is the LT above THOTI? No

Enough with you trying to downplay Jim's statements by nitpicking.

This is a straight up lie.

Goodness, Thanos wasn't TOAA, Thanos became TOAA withIN the Omniverse,
TOAA created THOTI/Thanos/LT/Eternity/even the freakin the story ... uhm, everything!

Everything withIN the Marvel Universe is a drawing on a piece of paper,
the Marvel Universe itself is a drawing on a piece of paper.

Don't you get it?

Thanos states. character's state. But it's never in the narrator's panels. It's never in the bio as a statement of fact. only fact from the character's view. what don't you get? he wasn't supreme.

Prove it. Without opinion, using on panel evidence.

I don't have to. The panels themselves never said he was god. never said he was the one above all. The Lt never conceded this. As a matter of fact, the lt fought against him. the Lt knows his boss, if thanos were indeed the new boss, the Lt would have fallen in line.

Stalemate TOAA = The Presence > THOTU.

So Eternity conceding that Thanos became "the Almighty" is meaningless?

Thanos' consciousness merged with everything in the Omniverse, would also be ignorant.

Nice try with the succession of fallacies being posted.
