FRWL is the third best entry in the entire series as well as being Connery's best. It is near flawless being primarily a spy thriller with a great Bond, villains, locations, and a wonderful Bond girl. This also contains my favorite "Q scene" with the briefcase.
The first appearance of the greatest Bond villain to ever grace the screen: the faceless Blofeld. Seriously, all of the villains in the series are immediately sup-par when placed next to this evil.
Great selection! As a matter of fact, I'm considering watching it tonight.
The last Bond film I watched was Goldfinger.

I think you will find that FRWL is the best entry in the franchise.

I'm still shocked to find that there are people stupid enough to believe the critics and think it is a good one.
The entries you consider better are.....

Dr.No
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
The Spy Who Loved Me
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
And many more....
All of those are good Bond films. The only great ones of those listed are From Russia With Love and On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
The Spy Who Loved Me, while a really good entry, falls victim to an overlong climax sequence where Bond leads a team of naval officers to overtake Stromberg's ship.
Goldfinger is perhaps the most overrated of the Bond films(GE giving it a serious run). Much of it takes place on a Kentucky farm and the plot is too camp and overblown for my tastes.
Dr.No is perhaps the most underrated of the Bond films(excluding OHMSS).
These three are not on par with either FRWL or OHMSS, however.

They are all far superior films to Craig’s poor attempts. It will be such a good day for Bond when they get rid of him. The minute Craig walks onto our screens he destroys what could have been a good film.
