Activities participated in:
1. Orchestra - I’ve been playing the viola since I was in 4th grade, and learned how to play the double bass my sophmore year, when our Varsity orchestra at my old school needed a bassist.
2. Chorus - My junior year I was heavily involved with chorus, after taking voice lessons in the summer. Music has always been a passion for me.
3. Drama Club - I joined the Drama club my junior year, and I have been in love with acting ever since. I’ve been involved in 6 plays, and also a musical.
4. Pride Alliance/Gay Straight Alliance - I’ve been involved with this club ever since I was a freshman, and now as a senior, I’ve seen how much my input and effort can really make a difference.
5. A World of Difference - This is a group sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League, where students are trained as facilitators, to stop bullying, and encourage diversity. We work with freshmen, and get them involved in discussions and exercises, demonstrating the differences they can make on a daily basis.
6. Leadership - This is a group where students are trained by their fellow students on how leadership is important, and what it takes to be a leader.
7. Writer’s Club - I’ve been involved with Writer’s Club since my junior year, but I have enjoyed writing poetry, short stories, and simply journaling since I was in middle school.
8. Composting Club - I’m a new member to Composting Club, and I’m so happy to be involved. Taking better care of our environment, and living more eco-friendly is extremely important to me, and its definitely something I will always be involved with.
Once I'm done with college, I plan on joining the Peace Corps. With my further education, I'll be able to help those less fortunate and in need. This is very important to me, because I believe everyone should have an equal opportunity to succeed in this world, or at least have the basic necessities everyone deserves. I'm a very humble, caring, and determined person. Making a positive impact on someone's life is what I'm really striving for, which I think is the most rewarding thing a person could ever have.
