This sounds like it's shaping up to be a lot like Sentry's avengers intro.

is this even in continuity? i mean, i know it's set after secret invasion, but having pym on the cover [not skrulled out] seems like it might be some sort of alternate universe, or something of that sort. who knows, though? maybe hank's back post-S.I.

He was a version of Quasar I think, at least it seems he had the Quantum Bands. I really have no idea of what he can do by himself.

In the previews it seems that Sentry gets his ass kicked... Again.

I have to say that I don't quite like the Sentry-way of jumping new overpowered characters into the mix... Hopefully is a non-cannon.

Iron Man with a nose looked stupid. Anti-man looked stupid (and Anti-man is a retarded name). And if there is one thing we were all craving... it was a Black Sentry. 🙄

Well he lasted a hell of a lot longer than Iron Man and Ares combined...

I get the impression from this that it's not "out of continuity" so much as "non-continuity".... like, not an alternate earth, but not specifically adhering to what we perceive as canon.... like most specials and minis are. Check out, for instance, the current Cap/Daredevil story right now. It's not specifically set in the past- it's just kind of ignoring continuity.

I'm perfectly okay with that kind of story. It makes it a lot easier to tell a good story without worrying about whether or not something is still valid.

Or at least, that's what I'm hoping.

I hope this is some sort of political message about Obama like in Thy Name was a critic of the Irak war.

At least that would explain the use of a non-existent uberpowered black person.

awwwww snap! first the White house, now this i dont see how we can go wrong with a Black Sentry. comicdom needs a change. 😄 but still the time line is mid 1960's so names like anti-man isnt so retarded when you think about it ...especially after ive seen stan lee in interviews saying that he loved the way words sounded so he created monters like Glooorm and Dormamu...

though all fun aside im not craving for a black sentry moreso than im craving for a being of that power lvl who wasnt a total batshit insane, Emo who is useless in any given situation.....i wouldnt even care if he got his powers thru strange radiation or lab accident... as long as they dont amputate his potential str8 off the bat

They could've, you know, make Sentry black to begin.
