Silver Age classic Odin VS Galactus

If I'm not mistaken, the Asgardians of the early days of Marvel were at the top link of the cosmic food chain and the other cosmic types couldn't even approach their incomprehensible might. But they were disrespected by writers over the years so that they were eventually so badly powered down that the GODS don't even get a rung on the universe's power ladder. People seem to agree that Odin can't beat Galactus, but would the Allfather from the days when he was the end-all-be-all of the MU do any better?

Edit: This is a sated, but not fully charged, Galactus. So he's not hungry but not at the peak of his ability.

Galactus>Odin since the beginning of time.

A medium level (just ate a planet) Galactus should still be too much for Odin, IMO.

Feat wise Odin can compete with Galactus but looking at ranking a Normal Galactus would beat Odin with easy.

Silver age G was the single most powerful entity in Marvel. That trumps silver age Odin.

Granted he may have weakenedm but Odin still had many high end feats that truimped big G, i agreed with UKR, the marvel writers deliberately wtaered and powered down the O and the asgardians to put G and other cosmic entities at the forefront!

This is also not true.

All that really needs to be said about this topic is that when (classic) galactus wasn't fooling around and REALLY WAS going to eat the earth, per the Watcher the ONLY THING that could (And did) stop him was the ultimate nullifier.

Odin and the Asgardian pantheon didn't even come into the equation.

Also consider during secret wars when Doom stole galactus' powers, he beat the living daylights out of Odin.

It's not even a contest here.

There were no Odin in the secret war...

Space was probably thinking of the second time that Doom stole the power from Galactus, were Doom with the mildest Concussion Blast defeated Odin.

got a scan? i dont recall galactus beating odin. but it may have happened...

Odin and Galactus have never to my knowlegde fought each other in a direct battle...
