why does it even matter anymore? pick up the comic. find a person who bears some resemblance to the character that's had a consistent look for 40+ years, make sure they can act, and cast them...

Maybe because the source material is based off of a white woman. If it was another woman from her home then ok but a black woman calling herself Diana whatever that last name is, is just stupid. There are white people in Africa so what is stopping Tom Hanks from being that king?
