The only reason that Magus ever seemed so powerful was because of the backhand that Thanos received from him (which was PIS) Magus is Warlocks Dark & Evil side, but this does not give him free reign over guys that are far above Warlock in the power department.

Warlock really isn't much, and never was much. When Warlock was known as Him, Thor gave him an easy beating, so it would not be very logical if Magus could beat the Surfer, who at most times is on par or greater than Thor when he defeated Warlock.

SS is not greater then thor as every encounter of them has proven, and besides that Adam has a actual victory over Thanos which SS never has.
