Looks horrible.

****. Will. Smith.

Pat Morita is immortal as Mr. Miyagi. Chan is legend, too, but Miyagi is Morita's role.

And why in the Hell is his name Mr. Han now?

I just adored the hip hop score. 馃槓

Yeah, this looks like utter shit.

I thought Jackie Chan used Kung fu.

Does'nt even look like a remake........if its a remake then it would'nt be set in Beijing.

I'm happy its taking things from a different perspective. If it were nearly shot by shot the same (see Omen remake), it would serve no purpose at all.

Well King Kong (2005) had bout the same scenes as the old one and also added and that was a good movie.

It was about twice as long, so it was clearly far from shot-for-shot, eve if some scenes were. I'm inclined to disagree about the good movie part, too. Rarely have I seen something so repetitive and with such grotesque over-reliance on slow motion. Then again, I haven't seen 300.

...god why?

was'nt that repeptative for me and there was stuff all slow motion last time i watched it.

It looked strange.

Wouldn't this had to be called "The Kung-Fu Kid" 馃槓

Agreed, how does that work? They should of set it in Japan if the movie is called the Karate Kid. I know you can learn karate anywhere but they go to beijing he'll be learning kung fu.

Jackie Chan does Chinese Kung Fu right?

why not just have Ralph machio be the teacher now? I guess that would be to good of an idear.

A good idea would be to not make another one and to realise that people probably only like it because of nostalgia.

That would be an idea, and you could have him living in Japan with his HOT wife, the Japanese chick from the 2nd movie. she is still acting and was in JAG and stargate atlantis for a while.
