I love all the little touches that don't really make sense yet throughout the show. Like at the end where Sierra smiles and Echo and Echo tenses up and very subtly shakes her head no. Or things that are just cool, like in the end of the last episode where she puts her hand to her shoulder, something she shouldn't remember. Even though the other back story is intriguing, this is my favorite part. Also, I loved the bit at the end where Adele(I think that's her name), stands up for Echo's behavior.
I'm excited about next episodes plot, because I even though it played out well enough, I didn't really want to dive into the whole pop star thing. I think it was too showy, the kind of storyline they should stay away from.
Weird that Friday is the bad-tv-night in the US. hmm Fridays are teh awesomest day for TV in the UK and the weekend is shit. hmm
I like the second episode of dollhouse most out of all. They all feel a bit generic and predictable though.. I hope it gets better.
Also, Eliza is being soooo Faith-like every time. It's annoying. T_________________T
I read in an Eliza Dushku interview, that everything is supposed to get more Joss in episode six and beyond. She said that these first view "generic" episodes are just to hook in viewers who wouldn't find themselves generally watching it.
I agree though, the second episode was the best so far. It had action, a "Most Dangerous Game" plot, and I found the flashbacks to be very interesting.

its only because here in the US people always go to the movies, bars, clubs, etc on fridays.. I go out myself, but not before I watch Dollhouse.
I do agree with you that the show is predictable, but it should get better after each episode
I loved this episode. Best so far this season, definately. If episode six is bringing better than this, my hopes are high. There were so many great moments that the other episodes only ever had like two of, that I can't even can't them. I'll probably have more to say when I watch it again tomorrow on Hulu.
I like Echo's blank stare too, Bruce... I've seen other message boards complaining about her acting when Echo is in her "resting state" but I really like Eliza's acting so far. I loved her in the safe this time... when she said at the end, "I'm not broken" I felt like cheering. I didn't think I was going to get attached to her character but there is just something incredibly sweet and appealing and... hidden strength-y, about her when she's theoretically "wiped" of personality.
I thought that this was another strong episode of Dollhouse, not as solid as 'Gray Hour', but handled better than 'Stage Fright'. The climax of the episode was slightly repetitive and even though it was explained, what's-his-face-Adelle's-go-to-emergency-man showing up was a little too spontaneous for me. As if they were trying to advance the plot line too soon. At least this time, Ballard's story line really went some where, but I wish they held off on him going to investigate until next episode. They probably didn't do that though because I think he'll have a lot more to do next week, which I can't wait for. Great preview and it's the hyped sixth episode.
