I LOVED the last one, I even bought it, and I rarely buy movies anymore. I've probably watched Casino Royale about six times, and I actually enjoyed it the most the last time I watched it which was literally three hours before I went and saw the new one, Quantum Of Solace. I loved Casino Royale because it introduced Craig in a way we weren't used to Bond, so rugged and hardcore. I liked his humor, such as when he wakes up from Vespar pushing the defibulator button and the first thing he says is "Are you okay?" The new movie lacked that humor, plus there were editing issues, flash cuts, things that did not make sense in the new one, the story wasn't very impressive to me, the acting was fine, I just had issues with the story. I didn't find it very exciting. I think they need to start bringing in the gadgets and such soon to liven it up a bit, but not to make them too cheesy as the old Bond films did.

I share the same sentiments. It isn't a bond feeling movie, its more like a "bourne" movie with james bond spraypainted over it.
That is in fact a very good way of putting it. Bourne should remind us of Bond, Bond shouldn't remind us of Bourne. It's a tid bit of a shame.
I mean bourne is one of the greatest spy movies out there. maybe the greatest. bond is relatively cheesy and always has some humor and some silly dated gadgets but that's what makes it bond. Its not supposed to be a very serious action adventure movie like bourne. Bourne may just be in a league of its own.
