Nope. I don't think Freddy can be killed within his lair. Then again, I havn't seen the movies in years.

Freddy's winning this, after all, it's his realm. He cannot be defeated or killed within his own universe, it just doesn't work that way.

Anyways, the only torment Freddy would give Superman would be Krypton being blown up and his parents dead.

When was the last time Supes was scared of Doomsday, right after his death? No fear in Rex or afterwards.

He isn't afraid of dying, death itself is not something that seems to scare him he did defeat a god of death with his will power once, he isn't afraid of death.

Lois dying is quite valid but how does Freddy exploit that to his benefit? Illusions? For a guy who can expel reality manipulation by merging with the cosmos?

Mere illusions aren't going to do much. Kryptonians have a lot of mental discipline Freddy would be screwed in this match up.
