Xania sighed. She stood at her booth. The human’s were not as trusting of the Saurians and still feared them. This caused her sales rate to drop tremendously when she was force to set up shop here. She groaned again when a man with a little girl came over.
This can only mean trouble. Xania gave the girl a forced fangy grin. “How can I help you, Miss?”
The little girl (Around age 6) narrowed her eyes at the scaly woman. Crossing her arms over her chest. “My daddy can tell real jewels and silver from fake jewels and silver. He will be able to tell which necklace is really worth my money.”
Xania’s outer countenance did not altar, but a few puffs of smoke escaped her nostrils. “We would only want the best for you.” She said giving her a curt bow.
Xania watched the man check out all the jewelry then sighed. “None of them are valuable, sweetheart.”
“Excuse me?” Xania seethed. She knew this man was not fixing to go where she thought, but before she could continue her train of though, he acted it out.
“You are a fraud and a thief!” he shouted causing a crowd to start to circle. “HOW DARE YOU TRY TO CHEAT THE KING’S ADVISOR AND HIS DAUGHTER!”
Now Xania was normally reserved, but when someone called her a cheat or a thief she lost it. She grabbed the man by the collar of his robe and pulled him across the counter so their faces were mere millimeters apart. “If you want to walk away from this stand, you better take that back.”
Smoke streamed out of Xania’s nostrils and her entire eyes were now teal. This was an extremely delicate and dangerous situation. The man stuttered. Not a single come back, snyde remark, nothing coherent came out his mouth. He finally amanaged a sorry. All the while, his little girl screaming for help.
Xania rolled her eyes and tossed the man a good five feet in the opposite direction with little effort. “Anyone else got any remarks to make because I’m Saurian and female?” Her mood was definitely ruined.
(Guys let me know if it is too much.)
