I have to admit that I've always thought that Talia would have this effect on Bruce, but I'm not too surpised that he feels this way for the Cat.

B) She was based (partly) on Rachel Caspian from Year Two, though she probably has more in common with Julie Madison (in Dark Moon Rising, which admittedly came afterwards), I think.

None of those other women matter. Selina and Bruce is the only relationship that is worth anything. Batman and Catwoman are meant to be but in a way I kind of like that they never really happen because their two different views on the world and inability to fully trust keep them apart even as they are drawn towards each other.
