I had such incredibly high hopes for Yat + Ion creation. He just got rocked by SBP. I mean granted SBP is nasty but Ion should have messed him up far worse. Against Orion... I give it to Yat/Ion. If it''s Yat alone than ... I think Orion should wreck him.

Evenly man ?! I think it was in SBP favor like 65/35. It just seemed like SBP was pounding pounding on Yat.

I guess at the very beginning of their battle, Yat did okay... but you have to consider a few things there..

1.) Yat had just become Ion, so his powers were at their max.

2.) Prime had just started recharging after his fight with almost every hero on earth had severely depowered him. So logically speaking, Prime would not have been at his max.

Even with this advantage, Yat still ultimately got his ass handed to him.

More on track, Yat started showing what he can do when he owned Nero - and it's for that reason I'd lean toward him in this battle (assuming he uses his GL powers, of course.)

I agree that Ino/Sodam Yat did lose to SMP, but he was fighting him evenly. However, he started to lose when he got lead poisoning. That's what messed him up. Even though he was fully charge, he wasn't fighting at his max potential. Like you said Galaan, he just became Ion. Something require time to master even if its easy. I seriously want another Ion/Sodam Yat vs SMP rematch. I am quite sure it would be different.

The only really good showing Ion Yat had was getting beat by Prime though he managed to survive an impressive amount of time.

But his average showings are not that impressive.

I go witth Orion for a majority until we see Yat actually act like he is empowered by the Ion force.

I'm not a Yat fan by any means, but give the guy more credit then that. He was able to own Alex Nero in a way even Kyle found remarkable:
