This is where conflictions on depicted power and stated power come to mind.
He was shown to have the power to wipe out all life on earth, this included all the Angles/Demons save God and Satan.

However, his power should be on par with God/Satan. Who can create their respective dimensions heaven and Hell. Or even have the power, to alter the entire universe.
