The only good thing that's come out of Dark Reign is Loki posing as the Scarlet Witch to create the Mighty Avengers (which is the best Avengers book on the market, by far.)
I dunno. A lot of the books that are tied into it but aren't "main" ones: like Agents of Atlas, Mighty Avengers, Incredible Hercules and Invincible Iron Man are pretty damn fantastic.
It's a ridiculous premise, but it's got a lot open for awesomeness. Dark Avengers hasn't even been as bad as I assumed it would be- I've been pleasantly surprised by it.

Didn't Gargan not have the scorpion enhancements when he gained the symbiote? I'm pretty sure he gained it near the end of the Spider-man Marvel Knights series by Mark Millar and a new suit was waiting for him but he got the symbiote instead. I could be wrong but he looked like a regular, weedy guy to me.

Well I'm not sure. But even if he still had his Scorpion powers, it may not be just a case of Scorpion Powers + Venom Powers>>>>> Venom Powers, because the symbiote may give it's host new strengths but it also damages you. Gargan, like Brock before him, is always sick and nauseous because of the symbiote. Where it has strengthened him, it may have also weakened him.

I have to read the garbage because Bendis reigns supreme over Marvel and therefore pretty much every idea he craps out affects the other books I read.
It also helps to remind me how good some of the other books Marvel put out (Captain America, Mighty Avengers, Incredible Hercules etc.)
