Those are ones I owned, because of course I've played some on pretty much every console ever. A relatively short list, looking back through the first page of this thread. But I played the **** out of these systems (besides the 360, with more moderate play amounts). A list of games we've beaten or played extensively would be a better gauge of overall gaming.

My console list only had 3 consoles. That's pretty shameful, but I've always been more of a PC guy.
Yeah, this is fun as a "here's my progression through console history" but something as innocent as "PC" in someone's post could mean hundreds of games, and any single console could be dozens. Or it could mean you played the hell out of your best friend's {insert console} but never owned one. To this day, there's games I don't know whose they were, mine or my one friend. We also shared Genesis parts at one point, since the other lost one of the cords. So at any one time, only one of our systems worked (I got the last laugh though - I still have the working rig 😈 )
PC (Used to use PC for gaming before I bought my PS2. Nowadays, I prefer playing on a console, and I use PC for emulation as my current one is only capable of playing games that came out 3-4 years ago)
PS2
PSP
PS3
Looks like I have the shortest list yet.

Indeed.
Though it would be time-consuming for some of us, such as myself, to type out a list of games we've played. Not to mention the fact that some of us, myself included, would forget a handful of the titles we have played at some point in our lives.

Right. So it's not without problems, and probably why a thread doesn't exist on it.
I actually tried to make such a list at one point - I'm a sucker for lists. It's a bit limited because it only includes games I owned. Especially in the early days of NES, Genesis, even N64, I rented a lot. I'd never remember everything I beat on rental. There's also a scattered few in every generation that I played a ton, but exclusively at friends' houses (I fondly remember having a play-timer for Sim City 2000 at my one friend's house before we switched). So yeah, impossible to make a comprehensive list. Still, I like seeing my incomplete list, because it's still quite representative of my gaming through the years, even if it's missing a lot.

Edit Was gonna add the games I played and how they affected me but it would have been time consuming and I know I have forgotten great games I played through each system.
I'm going to simply say SNES is my favorite console ever with games like LttP, Super Mario, SF2, Super Metroid, Donkey Kong, F-Zero, Mortal Kombat...golden age for me. SNES made me a gaming junkie.
Then the PSX made me realize I was going to be playing video games for the rest of my life, society be damned. MGS, Xenogears and FF7 utterly owned me lol. I'm not getting on the rest of the games. N64 had something to do with the decision with OoT, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

I've never been a hand held gamer, and my 1st gen Gameboy was used mostly by my dad since he was a Tetris freak back in the 80's.
I've never cared for the Xbox, it's shitty controller, or having to pay for Xbox Live. I'm a Sony fanboy. Ha ha.
PC games have never caught my attention. I downloaded the free 2 week demo of WoW years ago and played for, maybe, a day before quitting. I'm a console gamer, all the way.

Besides the d-pad how is the Xbox's controller shitty? Were you talking about the original giant controller from the 1st one? The S-type version is pretty damn good, and so is the 360 controller.
Edit Forgot about handhelds...I had a game boy, game body advance and currently own a hacked PSP 131
