Shikamaru vs L

L already knew that light was "kira", he just needed evidence on how he was committing the crimes. and take into account he didn't know about the supernatural element.

Shikamaru wouldn't have been able to find out anything as quickly as L did. Shikamaru analyzes what his opponent will do by figuring out stuff about them. Which would be totally useless against somebody you are up against blind.

People who think that having a high IQ makes you smart automatically need there heads checked.

So the ability to figure out things quickly and analyze ande come to conlusions isnt smart. Thats the only smarts there is. Everything is just knowlegeble.

My point is that using a high IQ as a point in an argument is fallacious and wrong.

If Shikamaru was so much smarter than L, then he shouldn't have had any problems finding out who Pein is.

IQ? Lol.

There is not a person alive who could have done what L did.

He knew NOTHING about Kira, and yet in his very first move, he pin-pointed the region he lived in, as in the district of the country, and then he broke it down to possible suspects, and correctly labeled Light as the most possible candidate, and in an ingenious move revealed himself to him, which as even Light put it, backed Light into a corner.

Shikamaru has nothing on the superhuman-esque analytical abilities of L.

Well anyway...Honestly everyone is talking about how L figured out that Light whas Kira...honestly guys...I could have figured that out :L seriously guys...news about some random deaths of criminals...then

Kira...telling the world that he is the source to the deaths for the reason of riding the world of criminals...then a detective's son's girlfreind is killed by kira...and suddenly he want's to join the only person that can stop Kira......seriously guys...the way that he carried himself into L's room pretty much gave it away 😛

Well anywayy ^^D L as a ninja...now wouldn't that be sweet ^^D although....L's brain consuming calories (come on...that's awesome) would still be a little like Chouji eating himself to oblivion for the sake of strength...and Chouji is a pretty small character opposed to some one like... Killer Bee 😛 see what I'm saying? ^^D probably not... 😛

Basically it is very arguable...Would Shikamaru be able to analyse a person fully through their body movements, the variations of the tone of their voice, even just how they start a sentence, to the point of knowing their every next move and decision before they do? Maybe, maybe not

Could L, defeat an Immortal ninja (with abilities exeeding the supernatural expectance from a normal, fantasy ninja) using only strings, a hole, and some bombs? Maybe, maybe not ;P

It Is VERY arguable ^^D HOWEVER... my bias opinion is:
Chess match:
L>Shikamaru

Sogi Match:
Shikimaru>L

L has been a tad overrated in this thread I believe.

He would still win both though.

Shikamaru is good at figuring out stratergies, but in times in the anime, he has made mistakes, proberly more than L.

for me, its depends, both are smart, L i think may be more cleaver over all. however, Shikamaru's ablity to analise someones movments after one incounter is outstanding, once the game begins and he sees L's stratergies he may be able to predict even L's moves.

though on the flip side, L never likes to lose and may fool Shikamaru into a fulse move.

its very confusing and would be fantastic to witness these guys play.

think it would be a very long game tho.
