Lucas showed too little of Maul in the movie...he doesn't talk much in the eu books either...though deadly efficient

There's a lot of him in the fight... which was, IMHO, very well choreographed but also a tad boring.

But also very underwritten. All he really needed was one scene to establish his evil BEFORE he met the Jedi. As it is the only person he ever menaced were the two heroes. Admittedly he killed one but that was as a finale, not an establishment of character.

What with all the desert I was often reminded of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly by TPM; if Maul had been a bit more like The Bad it would have been perfect.

I would've liked Obi Wan being killed in tpm, and maul living for aotc...immagine the potential....ofcourse, that would screw up the whole saga

Maul was a pussy. Obi-wan kicked his ass.

I think the most interesting part of Episode II was Obi-wan and Anakin. I really liked Obi-wan's maturaty, and Anakin dipping into the dark side.
