The Phoenix Force is more powerful than Thanos, but the Jean Grey incarnation is not invulnerable and Thanos is more than capable of taking advantage of this fact. The X-men pulled their punches, Thanos would not. It would be a good fight, but I see Dark Phoenix's physical vulnerability being exploited by a master strategist like Thanos.
