Four solo books? Look out Batman and Spiderman, looks like Wolverine gunning for the top spot for monthly appearances.

That being said Jason Aaron and Ron Garney on a monthly Wolverine book makes me need to change my pants. Pretty psyched that Maverick is back in action too. 😎

How many books does he appear in monthly, now?

I mean, between avengers, X-books, and these four?

I made a list of books he appears in at the moment not included the appearances he makes for a few panels.

Weapon X First Class Limited Series

Wolverine and Power Pack Limited Series

Surely he's surpassed Spider-Man?

I don't know if X-Force, Uncanny X-Men, Astonishing X-Men, New Avengers should be considered when counting.

His marketing power is insane...

There's also Wolverine Noir...and the What if's as well as the events and probably Dark Avengers and Mighty Avengers in the next few issues anyway.

David Finch and C.B. Cebulski are rumored to be the next creative team on Wolverine after Miller and McNiven. So '09 looks like a good year for quality Wolverine books, not sure whos replacing Van Lente but I hope they can keep up his quality of stories, and while Origins hasn't been great, it also hasn't totally sucked for a couple of months... so lets hope Way can keep that up.

This is some serious cash drainage on peoples wallets. I can't imaging that most people would be able to afford all those books monthly...I'd hate to be a true Wolverine fan.

No one in their right mind buys Ultimate X-Men and I picked up Ultimatum and didn't like it so I guess we don't need to count those two.

He's ahead of Spider-man right now, but Spider-man has a pretty conservative monthly appearance list now compared to the last few years (in fact... I think the Punisher might be close to Spidy in monthly appearances at the moment) but I wouldn't expect that to last too long especially with a Spidy 4 in the works.

I buy every book Wolverine appears in montly and I'm a poor art student. It kicks my bank account in the nuts 🙁

I understand though. Emma made an appearance in that White Tiger mini which meant I had to buy it.

I've been waiting for that to happen since the end of the Weapon X book.

wolverine is a really good solo character though, far better than spiderman.

I really hope this and the fact that he has a movie coming out next year will boost the value of my CGC graded 9.0 copy of Hulk #181.

10-15 years will likely see digital media replace printed comics, which will be a huge boom to the collectors market.
