Batman: Battle for the Cowl

But isn't Jason rumored to be
Spoiler:
Red robin

It's possible there might be more than one Batman, so Jason might stay in the current costume post-Battle for the Cowl aswell. If he'd be in the main Batman title while Dick/Damien would be in the Batman & Robin one written by Morrison, then I'd be fine with it.

Not sure what are the chances of that, though. If Jason does become Red Robin though, the future doesn't look too good for Tim. He is either dead, or gone searching for Bruce.

As for the confirmation that Jason is the gun-wielding Batman:

Spoiler:
BATMAN: BATTLE FOR THE COWL #3
Written by Tony Daniel
Art by Tony Daniel & Sandu Florea
Covers by Tony Daniel

With the destruction of Arkham Asylum, the return of the Black Mask, and dozens of Gotham City's most lethal villains rioting through the streets, Nightwing, Robin and their allies seem to have their hands full. But when you add a deadly Jason Todd masquerading as a gun-toting Batman to the mix, things have definitely spiraled out of control!

This is the issue everyone's been waiting for – find out who wins the Battle for the Cowl! Who earns the right to take on the mantle of the Bat? Will it be Robin? Jason Todd? Nightwing? Azrael? Catwoman? Two-Face? Damian Wayne? Batwoman? Or someone completely unexpected? This 3-issue series continues to shock and surprise as the battle comes to a startling finale for the ages!

what did you think of the first issue as a whole?

what do you think will happen to Jason after Battle for the Cowl?

Hopefully he will go back in the grave..where he belongs 😉

Wait, this whole arc is only three issues long?

I enjoyed it a lot. From the characterizations, to the flow of the story. One of the main reasons I liked this issue so much is the way Jason (one of my favorite characters) is presented. He's not just there for the sake of it, but it looks like he'll have one of the major roles in the story.

I didn't like one thing though. The characterization of Damien. Despite not being in agreement with the ideea of Batman having a son, he was still a pretty good character, while here it just feels ackward reading him.

Yes.

Afterwards, quite a few ongoing Batman titles will be launched, exploring different sides of the Batman universe.

Yeah I agree. I think it was a bit of a desperate attempt to make Damien a slightly more sympathetic (if roguish) character for when he becomes the new Robin and Dick becomes the new Batman.

It's looks not too bad. As for the new Azrael himself, not really what I was thinking, But it's not a bad Idea though.

It would appear that Damien is officially the new Robin.

Thanks.

That kinda sucks, I don't have a comic shop near me. Hopefully the hardbound collection will be nifty.

Umm, what does this new Azrael look like?

If the character is portrayed well and more people start to care about the him as a character. DC may do a series. What do you think of the first issue?

I liked it.. I don't care for his armor. but hoping if he gets his own ongoing then they will put him into what Jean Paul wore
