Chris Nolan has his own view of the Batman universe, and i trust him to get his vision correct, inspite of who is cast in whatever role. So you havn't seen any range in Eddy Murphey yet..maybe no one has given him the chance. And if this isn't a rumour than now is his chance.

The difference is, Ledger was always a good actor. He got an Oscar nomination for Brokeback, and he's displayed considerable versatility through his roles. Eddie? He always plays the same goofy character that has no place without a realistic universe.
