Xavier will use Twirl on two of the undamaged Shepherds.

Blowing his last re-roll for the sequence, Xavier injures a Shepherd!

Galder, lacking the highest level of Carnival of Carnage, manages to completely miss all four of his targets with poor rolling. However, they all dodge.

The Shepherds decide to be particularly nasty as they close out the sequence. In the hectic melee, they position themselves so that all fifteen of the combatants are able to launch a pair of attacks with Twin Attack, slashing at two of the Dark Jedi. Ten attacks on each Darkie... 22 damage to Dak leaves him twice wounded, 26 damage to Xavier, and 15 damage to Galder.

It is approximately at this point that Rianna cuts poor Del into three pieces in a sudden end to her heated duel and will rejoin the Psycho Brigade on frame 18.

Pool refresh for Galder and Xavier, with defense deductions. But the same is true for the Shepherds...

Nine of the Shepherds will be acting before Dak, but otherwise everyone can act...

Xavier will snap an attack on an injured Shepherd.

Defend for defense

Xavier pulls off his kill, whilst Galder pulls off three kills with a Spin, both likely using their brute strength to bash aside the defensive shields of their targets and finish them off.

The Shepherds go with Quick Attacks this time. Galder stays clear and Xavier only takes a glancing blow... but Dak is suffering from a severe case of hateful dice. 17, 18, and 20 mean that the Shepherds finally land blows that take him out of the fight when he fails his Death check badly...

Xavier is able to act.

Xavier snaps another attack going for an injured Shepherd.

Defend for Defense

Xavier puts down the Shepherd.

The Shepherds position themselves once more for their lethal frenzy of Twin Attacks, each one having a go at both of the Dark Jedi. Galder only takes 7 damage with his Defensive Leaping, but Xavier becomes the next target of choice for the Shepherds and takes 25 damage.

Xavier rolls a 14 on his Death check, passing wonderfully.

Rianna arrives, still damaged from the now-deceased Amlann's distance fighting, but victorious and still raging hard.

Xavier will use twirl this time targeting an injured Shepherd, and one of the others.

Defend for Defense

Rianna will immediately leap into the fight, snapping an attack on a Shepherd and using Defend as defense.

Xavier is on form with a 17 and a 16, leaving two Shepherds with horrific burns.

Rianna re-rolls to score a full hit on a Shepherd.

Galder's Spin only manages to wound one target, but at least they all dodge his attempt.

The Shepherds go for speed as they now include Rianna in their battle plans, making Quick Attacks. Rianna takes 5 damage, Galder takes 4, and Xavier is stabbed through the stomach twice by a pair of Shepherds, failing his Death check and joining Dak on the floor.

Rianna can act...

Rianna will snap another attack on one of the wounded Shepherds, and again use Defend.

Rianna deftly finishes off the Shepherd she just injured with an 18. She then falls back on the defensive, while Galder does no such thing, having expended all of his Force pool. Luckily, so did the Shepherds; they make standard attacks.

Rianna gets a good whack for 7 damage, but Galder fortunately stays clear due to poor rolling.

Rianna will continue her current tactics, snapping attacks on 2 wounded Shepherds and using Defend.

Rianna rather skillfully impales both of her victims in quick succession, using a re-roll. Galder does the same, then injures a second.

Two Shepherds go for Twin Attacks with their refreshed pool, while three go with standard attacks, and the last is behind due to defending and so does not attack. Galder stays clear with Defensive Leap, Rianna takes another 7.

Rianna will snap an attack on the injured Shepherd; assuming it kills him, she will then snap an attack on one of the ones at 26 frames.

Defend as usual.

Rianna actually fails, with a re-roll, to put down the Shepherd, due to her snap. She finishes him off with the follow-up snap, however.

Galder goes for a snap but misses, but then snags three of the Shepherds in a mighty Spin.

With only three of the Shepherds having initiative, they go with Twin Attacks again. Rianna takes 6 damage on a glancing hit, Galder takes 3 damage.

Rianna to go!

Rianna will snap at two of the injured Shepherds (preferably the ones on frame 28 and 29), and usual defense of Defend.

A pair of snaps sees to it that the Shepherds are only left with three standing. One launches a Quick Attack at Galder, who lets it come and shrugs it off when the Shepherd misses. He promptly cuts that one across the face and kills another with a Spin.

And then there were two...

Rianna to act!

Rianna's going to go all-out and use a Combination against the uninjured one, and use Active Dodge for defense.

Galder does the same against the injured one, not taking any chances. He cuts him in half.

Rianna, however, misses when she comes around for her second swing, the Shepherd frantically throwing up its shield.

"Please, spare me!" he whimpers as the two of you close in.

"I am not someone who 'spares' people..." Rianna hisses, keeping her lightsaber pointed at him.
