STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Rescue

"You must be from out of town!" he says, slapping Dak on the back again and squeezing his shoulder. "Mayor's declared it Month o' Celebration. Need to celebrate, don't I. What're you drinkin' to?"

Once you have noticed him, the gray-robed fellow walks off into the doorway on the far side of the room, labeled 'Stairs.'

"Yeah, just got here. Hmm..." Dak thinks for a long moment before grinning his fanged smile. "Who needs a reason to celebrate, pal?" He raises his bottle in salute.

"We drink to freedom," Xavier says with a smile on his face. He lets out a little laugh, with a little sinister tone to it before joining his bottle with Dak's.

"I'll be back, I want to go check something out..." Rianna says, as the masked guy heads for the stairs. She'll follow after him, and if taking off her cloak will make her stand out less then she'll just leave it draped on her seat for now.

Dak turns to look at her. "Hey, play it safe. Protect yourself," he says helpfully.

Okay, cancel the "leaving her cloak draped on her chair" bit. Rianna's response to that comment is going to be to fling it over Dak's head as she walks away so he has to try and untangle himself 😛

"You know Dak if she is going to get herself a boyfriend we need to get some girlfriends," Xavier says cheerfully.

The big man heartily agrees with Dak on the whole not-needing-a-reason-to-get-plastered deal, but shoots Xavier an odd look when he laughs in a sinister matter. But he also toasts to freedom.

"To freedom!" he shouts, "for Skythros is finally free o' those pirates!"

"To freedom!" a good many men and women in the salloon shout as Rianna makes her way towards the stairs.

Upon entering the stairwell, you catch a glimpse of the gray-robed man as he moves up the stairs.

Dak pulls the cloak off his head, maybe scratching it a little. "That doesn't sound like a bad idea, actually..." he says to Xavier, before focusing on the man. "I think I heard something about those pirates... they're gone now?"

Rianna will quietly head up the stairs behind him, staying far back enough so that she won't be noticed, her right hand on her lightsaber hilt. Just in case.

"Of course I have nothing but good ideas friend Dak." Then he turns to Trax.

"Does that sound like fun to you."

"Yes, yes!" he says. "Driven off-world in combat! What was left of 'em, anyhow. Let's see them try raiding us again with THAT kind of protection..."

"A Jedi is chaste, friend," Trax replies to Xavier.

The gray-robed man keeps just ahead of you so that you catch the sight of his brown boots as you move up to the second floor, third floor, fourth floor... and suddenly he whirls around, having drawn a katana in a single fluid motion and pointing it toward you.

"Why are you following me?" he asks.

Dak snorts at Trax's comment. "Protection, huh?"

"Curiosity," Rianna replies, not drawing and igniting her lightsaber yet, but keeping her hand on the hilt. "Why were you watching us?"

She's just a tiny bit scornful of his sword and is trying very hard to not roll her eyes at it being pointed at her. As if that's going to intimidate her...

"I'm sorry do you see any Jedi around here. I know you definitely aren't one. Weren't you saying it would be nice to relax for a bit? He says taking another shot.

He thinks for a moment, before taking a step toward you.

"Curiosity," he retorts.

-

"Aye, protection!" Mr. Big says. "You really haven't been to Skythros before, 'ave you?"

"Nope, we're first-timers here. So what's this protection?"

"Let's just cut through all the crap, okay? What exactly about us is so interesting that you felt like standing back and watching us, and then trying to sneak away as soon as we noticed it?" Rianna snaps back, losing her patience.

"You may be a first timer, but I'm most certainly not," Xavier says in a friendly tone.

Dak ignores Xavier's pathetic failed attempt at vulgar humor.
