Only the Supermen and Jedi/Siths have a legitimate shot at winning at a straight out battle. I think Palpatine or Yoda(or Luke Skywalker even) could take on Superman. Don't Force sensitives have omnipresence in the sense that they control the general "flow" of how events occur?

They don't have a chance. Superman's ridiculous factor defeats all.

Wrong. Palpatine is certainly the most poweful here assuming were using them at their prime FROM the movies. This would make Kenobi, Dooku, Yoda, and Windu ROTS. And Luke, Vader, and Palpatine ROTJ. Combined they couldn't take Superman. Luke is nowhere near the equivalent of the Force God he is in the EU yet from ROTJ. Hell he's the weakest Jedi on the list in Force mastery and saber skill.

No one in this thread is capable of taking the two Supermen.

obviously not seeing as how 99% ended up getting brutally killed in one way or another

Why the hell is Hancock not on the list?

Heroes from superhero Franchises face off against each other!

For the scenario, because I CBS, I'll just copy the "MK vs DCU" game's plot, which is that different universes are merging/colliding, and the Heroes and Villains must fight together against other alternate universes, blah blah.

I think my theory could still apply. The way I see it, Palpatine was so powerful in the Force that he clouded everyones mind willingly, and converting Anakin to evil just tipped the balance even further. When Luke was old enough to put his angst and righteousness to good use, he inadvertenly tipped the scale back into the light, since he is technically more powerful than both Palpatine and Vader. Luke was corrupted by Palps ghost, and that would explain why the galaxy has been in torment from that period to the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, who of course have nothing to do with the Force.

The Jedi were purged because they refused to fully acknowledge the danger that the Sith posed.

But Palpatine wouldn't let them, he clouded everyones minds.

Still, the Jedi knew there was danger imminent, but they chose to be reactive about it. They were backpedalling the whole time.

True, but since Palps is supposed to be more powerful than any of them, he willed them into screwing up. Sort of like an unconscious battle meditation. That's my theory for explaining various inconsistencies in SW. For example, since Luke at the time of ROTJ wasn't as well versed at Palps, his subconscious Force ability allowed Palps to be wrong about his visions.

I wouldn't go as far as saying he "willed" them, that implies that he had control of their minds. I believe he was just really good at covering his tracks, at using others to accomplish his goals. Look at Dooku, he had served his purpose, so Palpy manipulated Annie into killing him. THAT was willing someone, he had control of Annie and he knew it.

I mean that he had mastery over the Force enough to slip up the Jedi Council. The Force itself is all powerful, and Force sensitives are merely avatars of the Force which can't manifest it in all its glory for some reason. Palps was a Machiavellian and strategic genius in his own right, but his control over the Force led to all the corruption that occured.

Yeah... this is the movie forum, and we are using the comic characters from their movies, so chill.

Probably because Hancock isn't a franchise, just a single film. Though we all know you do love that name.
