He'd been out of sunlight for over a decade. He was stated to be at his lowest levels ever. Earth-2 Supes at classic levels punks any two people on the other team, or at least gives them a good fight.

You misunderstand. I realize regular Supes is post-crisis. But Earth-2 Supes is pre-crisis Superman, regardless of the era. Unless we're taking him at his depowered Infinite Crisis levels, he's at classic PC levels.

I always get mixed up with the names (Kal-L, Kal-el, etc.)
Kal-El is current Superman, yes?
But Earth-2 Superman is commonly referred to as PC Supes because he's the Superman DC focused on before the crisis in '84-5. He never actually got retconned, so his feats are still valid. He just faded away until the recent Infinite Crisis (where he died) while Earth-1 Superman (the current) took the spotlight. And Earth-2's feats are far and away higher than most on this list. His magic weakness was more pronounced, but no one in this fight can exploit that.

For Clarification: Kal-L = Earth-Two Superman, AKA Golden Age PC Supes.
Kal-El = Earth-One Superman, AKA Silver Age PC Supes.
Kal-El = Earth-1 Superman, AKA New Earth (Current) Superman.
