Really? I don't believe that at all.
Zach Snyder even said he wasn't putting "The Black Freighter" into the movie, but instead as a short on the DVD, This STILL isn't a pulp comic book.
Terry Gilliam was stated as saying the only way the movie could be really made was for it to be 8 hours long. I don't believe the STORY would take 8 hours to create, but I also don't believe that given ANY amount of time, you could do the things done in the watchmen.
Moore Created a world with all the different side creations.
I will still be seeing the movie, though.
[edit] This is NOT me stroking the ego of Alan Moore, and I won't say that if you don't like it you just don't get it. These are the reason's I like the book.
I truly do think that this comic book redefined the Comics Genre.
