OK, here's a quick description of their duties:

OFFENSE

Quarterback (2): The team leader, preferably tall with a strong arm

Running Back (2): The runners, capable of taking hard hits

Wide Receivers (4): FAST.....Think soccer players

Tight End: (1): Tall, good hands, big and burly

Offensive Line (4 or 5): Big guys that keep the defense from killing the Quarterback

DEFENSE:

Defensive Line (4 or 5): KILL THE QB

Linebackers (3): KILL THE QB

Safeties/Cornerbacks (5?): Cover the wide receivers, keep them from catching the ball. Just like a WR, but a bit bigger, ideally.
