You have no way of explaining that you're trying to say a prediction is for the future when it's factually already passed (8 and a half years ago).

It's funny though, that you're now trying to pass yourself of as a prophet by using Nostrudamus and saying that you're not merely using other people's interpretations of him but making your own...When you're actually using other people's translations of his prophecies...The hypocrisy in that is staggering beyond belief when you consider you're accusing me of using other people's translations and interpretations.

Are you still going to stand by these "prophecies" when nothing happens by 2012?...Or are you going to say "well Nostradamus doesn't give exact dates so it might still be to come"?

One of the biggest ironies of your postings here is that you don't seem to have any clue what you're talking about. You've already mentioned China in regards to isolationism...when i pointed out that China are more integrated into the world now than they have ever been you start harping on about Clinton and China in 1999 as being related to one of Nostradamus' predictions...completely ignoring the fact that it was Clinton who helped make China LESS isolationist which completely goes against what you said would be the root of the problem regarding China in the 1st place.

When i question you about specifics the best you could come up with was

Clinton had something to do with China in 1999...and that's what Nostradamus meant...even though you plainly have no clue what relations Clinton had with China before, during or after 1999 or how that related to your original post.

NOSTRADAMUS'S PREDICTIONS FOR THIS CENTURY (2000 - 2100)

Here it looks like Nostradamus is describing an attack from the Arab and African Muslims during World War 3 which will be "terrible" in his own words. This must mean pretty major. He also makes a point to state that there will be an "invasion". I'm guessing this will be on land. Then he goes on to say that "Great disasters are made in April". This could mean either natural or man made disasters. But the important month to watch out for would be April.

He also goes on to say that "great persons" will be "ridiculed". I take this to mean high level officials or high members of organizations such as heads of churches/states being ridiculed/criticized by these very same Muslim groups/sects.

It has been said by Jeane Dixon that the certain African nations/Arab nations will join the side of the Chinese during World War 3. Here it would appear that Nostradamus confirms that when he states that "Moslems" will definately play a role in it. I am guessing this refers to both Arab Muslims as well as African Muslims who will side with the Chinese.

The American Heritage Dictionary (1992) noted, "Moslem is the form predominantly preferred in journalism and popular usage. Muslim is preferred by scholars and by English-speaking adherents of Islam." No more. Now, almost everybody uses Muslim.

According to the Center for Nonproliferation Studies, "Moslem and Muslim are basically two different spellings for the same word."

Nostradamus also begins the quatrain by stating that during the time of these attacks, it will be filthy (dirty), pestilent (producing or tending to produce infectious or contagious, often epidemic, disease), and violent (marked by extreme force or sudden intense activity).

Nostradamus:

Alright now this part is important, because the Iranians, and other Arabs are supposed to join forces with the Chinese army during World War 3. According to various predictions from various sources anyways. So...this is what it appears to be. It is a prediction about a "cruel sect" of the Moslem religion that will come to Florence, Italy, and who will have weapons hidden under their robes. What kind of weapons? Who knows. Only time will tell. But Nostradamus makes it very clear that they will "take" the city of Florence, and "burn it twice". So obviously, this must be some kind of attack from the Muslim Arabs/Africans that will have already joined in on the side of the Chinese during World War 3. And he gives the exact location of the attack. Florence, Italy. You don't get a much more precise prediction than that.

He also states that "clever men" will be sent in "without laws". The worst kind of people shall we say. Those who are extremely smart but who have no morals.

Leaving out the Muslim part that one is highly like the Rwanda massacre which happened in April 1994 which started with the assassination of the president. The ridicule part could mean the massive criticism that the UN got in the wake of it. Particularly the "acts of genocide" press conference. (see the films "hotel rwanda","sometimes in april" and "shooting dogs"😉

NOSTRADAMUS'S PREDICTIONS FOR THIS CENTURY (2000 - 2100)

Nostradamus:

"Very near the Tiber death threatens,

Shortly after the great flood.

The head of the church

will be taken prisoner and cast out,

the castle and the Palace in flames."

NOTE:

This one appears to be an event/battle that will take place during World War 3 just after a flood that will occur possibly due to an overflow of the Tiber river in Italy. Then Nostradamus talks about "the head of the church" being taken prisoner. Could this be the Pope? Or a high official of the Catholic Church? Only time will tell.

Whoever it is, Nostradamus says that he will be "taken prisoner" and then "cast out". Perhaps that could mean two things. That he will either be taken prisoner and then released somewhere outside of the country, or....that he will be taken prisoner, and then killed.

I'm assuming this prediction falls into place with the above 2 predictions related to the "Moslem" invasion of Italy. Clearly there is currently much hatred towards Christianity from the extremist Muslims of the World, and....Nostradamus says that it will be these extremists who will attack parts of Europe including Italy. So one could easily conclude that he is giving us a picture of some kind of another successful attack from the "Cruel Sect" of the Muslims against a high leader of a/the church in Italy. We know he will be a high official because Nostradamus stated that he will be the "head" of the church.

Nostradamus also goes on to say that the "castle" and "palace" will be in flames. Castle and Palace? This could be a description of Vatican City, Rome. But clearly it shows that these two structures/buildings wherever they may be will be lit ablaze by the attackers.

The Tiber is the third-longest river in Italy, rising in the Apennine mountains in Emilia-Romagna and flowing 406 kilometres through Umbria and Lazio to the Tyrrhenian Sea. It drains a basin estimated at 18,000 km². The river has achieved lasting fame as the main watercourse of the city of Rome, founded on its eastern banks.

Here is yet another clue that it may be the city of Rome, Italy (the home of the Pope) that will be under attack during this time. The clue is the Tiber river, because the river is so close to the city, and is also the main watercourse for it and it's inhabitants.

NOSTRADAMUS'S PREDICTIONS FOR THIS CENTURY (2000 - 2100)

Nostradamus:

"France will be attacked on five sides

because of her negligence,

Tunisia and Algeria will be incited

against by the (Iranians).

Leon, Seville and Barcelona will give way

And will not be saved by Italy's army."

NOTE:

This prediction seems to represent many different attacks that will take place during World War 3. The first obvious one appears to be against France. Nostradamus states that "France will be attacked on five sides". That sounds like one hell of a strike if you ask me.

Then he gives us a clue as to who will be the perpetrators (those responsible for the attacks). He hints that the countries of Tunisia and Algeria will both be brought into the conflict and will join the side of the Arabian (Iranian) army during World War 3. Nostradamus makes it appear that Tunisia and Algeria will join the side of the Arab army when he states that they will be "Incited" (to urge to action; stir up; rouse) "against" (in opposition or hostility to) the above 4 places including France, Leon, Seville and Barcelona .

So what this prediction appears to be is a prediction that three countries, Iran, Tunisia and Algeria, will attack the areas of France, Leon, Seville and Barcelona. These are some of the different countries that Nostradamus says will be involved in the fighting.

Leon, Seville and Barcelona are 3 cities located in Spain. So here we see that Spain is going to be attacked as well as France. And on the very last line he states that these 3 cities in Spain "will not be saved by Italy's army." Which must mean that Italy will also be involved in the battle and will attempt to rescue Spain from the attacks, but will fail in its attempt to do so.

What I find extremely interesting is that both of the countries of Tunisia and Algeria are located in North Africa. Jeane Dixon predicted that one day soon certain African nations will join sides with the Arabian and the Chinese armies and take up arms against much of Europe. Here it would look as though Nostradamus so many centuries before her is confirming the very same prophecy.

Tunisia is a country located in North Africa. It is bordered by Algeria to the west and Libya to the southeast. It is the northernmost country on the African continent, and the smallest of the nations situated along the Atlas mountain range. Around forty percent of the country is composed of the Sahara desert, with much of the remainder consisting of particularly fertile soil and a 1300 km coastline. Both played a prominent role in ancient times, first with the famous Phoenician city of Carthage, then as the Africa Province which became known as the bread basket of the Roman Empire, and then as the Maghreb region of various medieval Islamic states. Tunisia ranks high among Arab and African nations in reports released by The World Economic Forum. In the 2008-2009 version, it is first in Africa and 36th globally for economic competitiveness, well ahead of Portugal, Italy and Greece. It currently lies at the penultimate stage of development: efficiency-driven economies.

The religion in Tunisia is 98% Islam.

Tunisia, Algeria, and Iran. All of which according to Nostradmus will launch attacks against the following 4 areas during World War 3:

1. France

France is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and that also comprises various overseas islands and territories located in other continents. Metropolitan France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the English Channel and the North Sea, and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. It is often referred to as L’Hexagone (The “Hexagon”) because of the geometric shape of its territory. France is a unitary semi-presidential republic with its main ideals expressed in the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen. Metropolitan France is bordered (in clockwise direction from the north) by Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Monaco, Andorra, and Spain. France's overseas departments and collectivities also share land borders with Brazil and Suriname (bordering French Guiana), and the Netherlands Antilles (bordering Saint-Martin). France is linked to the United Kingdom by the Channel Tunnel, which passes underneath the English Channel. France is the largest country in the European Union and the second largest in Europe, France has been one of the world's foremost powers for many centuries. 2. Leon, Spain

The city of León is the capital of León province in the autonomous community of Castile and León, in northwest Spain. Its population of 136,985 (2006) makes it the largest municipality in the province, accounting for over one quarter of the province's population. Its urban area population is calculated at 204,212 (2006).

3. Seville, Spain

Seville is the artistic, cultural, and financial capital of southern Spain. It is the capital of Andalusia and of the province of Seville. It is situated on the plain of the River Guadalquivir, with an average elevation of 7 metres (23 ft) above sea level. The inhabitants of the city are known as Sevillanos. The population of the city of Seville was 699,145 as of 2007 (INE estimate). The population of the metropolitan area (urban area plus satellite towns) was 1,450,214 as of 2007 (INE estimate), ranking as the fourth largest metropolitan area of Spain.

4. Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona is the capital and most populous city of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia and the second largest city in Spain, with a population of 1,615,908 in 2008, while the population of the Metropolitan Area was 3,161,081. It is the central nucleus of the Urban Region of Barcelona, which relies on a population of about 5.5 million. It is located on the Mediterranean coast between the mouths of the rivers Llobregat and Besòs and is limited to the west by the Serra de Collserola ridge (512 m/1,680 ft). Barcelona is a major economic centre with one of Europe's principal Mediterranean ports, and Barcelona International Airport is the second largest in Spain after Madrid-Barajas Airport.

NOSTRADAMUS'S PREDICTIONS FOR THIS CENTURY (2000 - 2100)

Nostradamus:

"From the East will come a dreadful act

Which will strike at the Adriatic sea

and the heirs of Romulus

With the (libyan) fleet,

Fear and tremble the inhabitants of

Malta and its archipeligo."

NOTE:

This one appears to be about a major type of attack (possibly a nuclear strike) during World War 3 that will originate from the east of the Adriatic Sea and from what Nostradamus says it looks like it will strike the Adriatic Sea itself. The Adriatic Sea is a body of water separating the Apennine peninsula from the Balkan peninsula, and the system of the Apennine Mountains from that of the Dinaric Alps and adjacent ranges. The Adriatic Sea is a part of the Mediterranean Sea.

He also states that this same attack will strike at the "Heirs of Romulus". Romulus is supposably one of the names of the two twins that founded the city of Rome. According to Roman tradition, the city was founded by the twins Romulus and Remus on April 21, 753 BC. So therefore we have a clue given to us that the city of Rome may also suffer damage from this "dreadful act" which according to Nostradamus will strike at it.

The name Romulus could also apply to Romulus Augustus, who was the last Western Roman Emperor reigning from 31 October 475 to 4 September 476. His deposition in 476 is used to mark the end of the Western Roman Empire, the fall of ancient Rome, and the beginning of the Middle Ages in Europe. So here we have yet another clue that Nostradamus was referring to an attack on the city of Rome.

The word "Heirs" means people who inherit or are entitled to inherit property. Nostradamus says that the attack will be on the "heirs of Romulus" or what I take to mean those people that have inherited the city of Rome and are living in it today. So again, here is another clue that Rome will be the target of the strike.

Also in this prediction Nostradamus gives a clue as to where the attack might come from. Possibly from the Arabian fleet. This would make sense because the Muslim/Islamic Extremists of the World would love to be able to destroy the city of Rome due to its historical importance to Christianity and Christians. Rome has a significant place in the story of Christianity up to the present day, for it endures as the home of the papacy. The worldwide Roman Catholic Church is administered from the Vatican City, run by the Holy See as an independent enclave and the world's smallest sovereign state.

So therefore we should keep a watchful eye out for the city of Rome, Italy to be attacked during World War 3 and that will result in a "dreadful act" being committed according to Nostradamus which could very well be the result of a nuclear bomb or device.

Nostradamus also states that this attack on Rome will cause "Fear" and that people will "tremble" because of it even as far away as in "Malta" (A country of Southern Europe) "and its archipeligo" (Its surrounding Islands). Malta lies south of Sicily, east of Tunisia, and north of Libya. So basicly it looks as though he is saying that the attack on Rome will cause the "inhabitants" or people of Malta to cower in fear and tremble. This gives us a clue as to just how big the scope of the attack will really be.

The Adriatic Sea is a body of water separating the Italian Peninsula from the Balkan peninsula, and the system of the Apennine Mountains from that of the Dinaric Alps and adjacent ranges. The Adriatic Sea is a part of the Mediterranean Sea. The western coast is Italian, while the eastern coast runs mostly along Croatia, Montenegro and Albania but lesser parts belong to Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina (26 km). Major rivers joining the Adriatic are the Reno, Po, Adige, Brenta, Piave, Soèa/Isonzo, Zrmanja, Krka, Cetina, Neretva, Drin (Drini).

Rome is the capital city of Italy and Lazio and is Italy's largest and most populous city, with 2,705,317 residents, an urban area of 3,457,690, as well as a metropolitan area of 4,013,057 inhabitants spread over a 5,352 km² area. It is located in the central-western portion of the Italian peninsula, on the Tiber river. Rome's history as a city spans over two and a half thousand years, as one of the founding cities of Western Civilization.

Malta is a small and densely populated European microstate comprising an archipelago of seven islands, making it an island nation. Situated in Southern Europe, 93 km (58 mi) off the coast of Sicily (Italy), it is located in the Mediterranean Sea, giving the country a warm, Mediterranean climate, while a further 288 km (179 mi) to the island's west is Tunisia and about 300 km (186 mi) south is Libya. Valletta is in practice the nation's capital city. Throughout much of its history, Malta has been considered a crucial strategic location due in large part its position in the Mediterranean Sea.

NOSTRADAMUS'S PREDICTIONS FOR THIS CENTURY (2000 - 2100)

Nostradamus:

"A missile is seen in the night sky

Near the source of the Rhone.

Famine and war will come, and help

will be too late.

When (Iran) mobilizes to invade Macedonia."

NOTE:

In this prediction Nostradamus describes a missile flying through the air in the night sky during World War 3, and near the source of the "Rhone" or what I would take to be the Rhone River (a major river in Europe). He then states that "Famine and war will come (perhaps as a result of the missile strike)", but that "help will be too late." And he also gives us a clue as to when this event will occur, because he states that at this exact time the Arab army will be preparing to "invade Macedonia" (a geographical and historical region of the Balkan peninsula in southeastern Europe).

The Medieval Macedonia, the one Nostradamus would have been familiar with, was much different than the Macedonia of today. Therefore I believe he was referring to the Macedonia region during the Medieval ages, which spanned a much wider area and contained more land within its borders.

As far as the "Missile" that Nostradamus claims will be seen flying through the air "in the night sky" (at night) near the source of the Rhone river, I have a theory at the moment that this might very well relate to the same "dreadful act" that Nostradamus mentioned in the prophecy before this one. The one relating to the attack on the city of Rome, Italy. The reason I believe this to be the case, is because Nostradamus states that the missile will be seen near the "source of the Rhone". This gives us a clue as to where the missile might strike, because the main source of the Rhone river is actually the large glaciers of the massifs of Monte Rosa, Dom, and Grand Combin. The Monte Rosa Massif located in the eastern part of the Pennine Alps. It is located between Switzerland (Valais) and Italy (Piedmont and Aosta Valley).

Piedmont is one of the 20 Regions of Italy. It has an area of 25,399 km² and a population of about 4.4 million. The capital is Turin, the local dialect is Piedmontese and Occitan is also spoken although it is not an official language and it could be considered like a dialect, spoken by a minority in the so called Occitan Valleys. The name is a contraction of the Italian "Ai piedi del monte", meaning "At the base of the mountain".

The Aosta Valley is a mountainous autonomous region in north-western Italy. It is bordered by France to the west, Switzerland to the north and the region of Piedmont to the south and east. With an area of 3,263 km² and a population of about 120,000, it is the smallest, least populous, and least densely populated region of Italy. It is the only Italian region which has no provinces (the province of Valle d'Aosta was dissolved in 1945).

So it is entirely possible that those living within the regions of Piedmont and the Aosta Valley of Italy will be able to see the "missile" flying through the night sky toward the city of Rome, Italy.

After the missile strikes, Nostradamus states that "famine and war" will come. This could be a description of the aftermath of a Nuclear or biological strike on Italy. "Help will be too late" would make sense because the strike would be so quick that there may not be anything that could be done to prevent it.

And of course, as mentioned before, all while this is taking place, the Arab army will be preparing to "invade" the areas of what used to be Medieval Macedonia.

The Rhone, or the Rhône is one of the major rivers of Europe, running through Switzerland and France. Near its mouth, the river divides into two branches, known as the Grand Rhône and the Petit Rhône.

NOSTRADAMUS'S PREDICTIONS FOR THIS CENTURY (2000 - 2100)

Nostradamus:

"The sky will burn at forty-five degrees,

Fire approaches the great new city,

On the instant a great scattered flame leaps up,

When they will want proof of the Normans."

NOTE:

In this prediction it almost looks as if Nostradamus is describing a modern day nuclear bomb exploding either next to or right above a city. He describes this even clearer when he mentions that "on the instant" (just like the mushroom cloud of a nuclear bomb which comes up from the ground instantly) a "great scattered flame" will "leap up from the ground" (another clue that it could be a nuclear explosion), and "approaches the great new city". He also mentions that the "sky will burn at forty-five degrees), perhaps again describing the effects of a mushroom cloud of a nuclear bomb.

As far as the "great new city" that he mentions. That could be just about any city. However, I have my own theories as to it being related to the last two predictions which I believe describe some kind of a nuclear or biological attack on the city of Rome, Italy.

As I mentioned before, it is obvious that many Islamic fanatics want to destroy any historical cities related to Christianity. And to do away with Christianity all-together. Rome, Italy falls into the category of a major historical city for Christianity. And what better way to destroy it than with a Nuclear Bomb?

A nuclear explosion occurs as a result of the rapid release of energy from an intentionally high-speed nuclear reaction. The driving reaction may be nuclear fission, nuclear fusion or a multistage cascading combination of the two, though to date all fusion based weapons have used a fission device to initiate fusion, and a pure fusion weapon remains a hypothetical device. Atmospheric nuclear explosions are associated with "mushroom clouds", although mushroom clouds can occur with large chemical explosions, and it is possible to have an air-burst nuclear explosion without these clouds. Nuclear explosions produce large amounts of radiation and radioactive debris.

The dominant effects of a nuclear weapon (the blast and thermal radiation) are the same physical damage mechanisms as conventional explosives, but the energy produced by a nuclear explosive is millions of times more per gram and the temperatures reached are in the tens of megakelvins.

The energy released from a nuclear weapon detonated in the troposphere can be divided into four basic categories:

* Blast—40-50% of total energy
* Thermal radiation—30-50% of total energy
* Ionizing radiation—5% of total energy
* Residual radiation—5-10% of total energy

However, depending on the design of the weapon and the environment in which it is detonated the energy distributed to these categories can be increased or decreased to the point of nullification. The blast effect is created by immense amounts of energy, spanning the electromagnetic spectrum, with the surroundings. Locations such as submarine, surface, airburst, or exo-atmospheric determine how much energy is produced as blast and how much as radiation. In general, denser mediums around the bomb, like water, absorb more energy, and create more powerful shockwaves while at the same time limiting the area of its effect.

That is important information about water causing the blast to absorb more energy and create more powerful shockwaves because any country who would have the capabilities to launch a nuclear bomb would also most certainly know beforehand how to increase it's impact on the designated target. And Nostradamus stated in the prediction I posted previously that:

"From the East will come a dreadful act

Which will strike at the Adriatic sea

and the heirs of Romulus (Rome, Italy)."

Obviously, if it turns out to be a nuclear or biological strike on the city of Rome, than the strike on the water next to it would be very clever, because it would increase the amount of damage done to the city because it would absorb more energy before releasing it's blast.

Most of the material damage caused by a nuclear air burst is caused by a combination of the high static overpressures and the blast winds. The long compression of the blast wave weakens structures, which are then torn apart by the blast winds. The compression, vacuum and drag phases together may last several seconds or longer, and exert forces many times greater than the strongest hurricane. Nuclear weapons emit large amounts of electromagnetic radiation as visible, infrared, and ultraviolet light. The chief hazards are burns and eye injuries. On clear days, these injuries can occur well beyond blast ranges. The light is so powerful that it can start fires that spread rapidly in the debris left by a blast.

As far as what Nostradamus says about "they" wanting "proof of the normans", I have yet to come up with a possible meaning for this sentence. What we can take from it immediately, however, is that it will somehow coincide with the attack that Nostradamus seems to be describing in this quatrain.

The Normans were the people who gave their names to Normandy, a region in northern France. They descended from Viking conquerors of the territory and the native population of mostly Frankish and Gallo-Roman stock. So perhaps the last line gives us a clue that some person/country will be wanting/waiting for France to prove something when suddenly this attack takes place.

NOSTRADAMUS'S PREDICTIONS FOR THIS CENTURY (2000 - 2100)

Nostradamus:

"Troops will approach from Russia.

The destroyer will ruin the ancient city

Italy will be destroyed

And no one will know how to put out

the great fire which will have been ignited."

NOTE:

In this one Nostradamus lays it all out pretty clear for us. He states that "Troops will approach from Russia", which could be Russian troops themselves, or troops from another country who would have already invaded Russia (China - according to Jeane Dixon). Regardless, Nostradamus states that these "troops" will approach from the country of Russia.

Then he goes on to write that, "The destroyer will ruin the ancient city". Since this sentence could refer to any city in the World that is "ancient", we have only to go to the next line of the quatrain for a clue as to what city he is referring to because he makes it very clear for us when he writes that "Italy will be destroyed". So again, I believe he is referring to the city of Rome, Italy. It is also quite possible that Nostradamus used two different terms to describe the city of Rome. "Great new city" (possibly referring to the Vatican City that came into existence in 1929) and "Ancient city" (possibly referring to the city of Rome itself which has been around for thousands of years). Either way, we know that once again, "Italy" is the target in this quatrain.

The "destroyer" could mean many different things. It could be a launching device, it could be a person (the Anti-Christ perhaps), it could be a name for the device itself, it could even be the description of an actual modern day destroyer-battleship, which would be more than capable of launching a nuclear missile. There are just too many possibilities to be able to narrow it down to just one. One thing we do know however, is that whatever this "destroyer" is, Nostradamus claims that it will be responsible for the destruction of "The ancient city" in Italy.

Thats exactly what he says. That Italy will "be destroyed". Now obviously he doesn't mean that the land mass of Italy will be obliterated, so what I take from this is that Italy will be shaken from top to bottom with war and that there will be great destruction inside of Italy that will result in complete and utter devastation.

For a better understanding of the final 2 lines of this quatrain, we can simply go back to the last 3 posts/prophecies from before which seemed to be describing an attack on the city of Rome. I believe this quatrain is related to them because here again Nostradamus mentions a large fire when he states that "And no one will know how to put out the great fire which will have been ignited". This I take to be related to the possible nuclear or biological attack that Nostradamus seemed to be describing in the above predictions related to this region of the World.

In order for a fire to be "ignited" to the degree that "no one" would know how to put it out, that would have to be an extremely persistant fire that could only come from something which would most likely be related to a weapon of some kind or another. If it were a natural fire, then surely many people would know how to put it out, as Rome would be equipped with its own fire department/emergency service that can deal with putting out the flames. But if it were a fire created from say a nuclear type device, then that would definately qualify as a fire that would not be able to be extinguished right away, and/or by normal means. In fact, there may be nothing that could be done to extinguish the flames if indeed they were caused by a nuclear explosion. The survivors and those around the city would just have to wait for things to get better.

No matter how a person chooses to look at it, at least according to Nostradamus, Italy is definately going to be in for some serious trouble during World War 3.

Russia is a transcontinental country extending over much of northern Eurasia. It is a semi-presidential republic comprising 83 federal subjects. Russia shares land borders with the following countries (counterclockwise from northwest to southeast): Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania (via Kaliningrad Oblast), Poland (via Kaliningrad Oblast), Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and North Korea, and is also close to the United States (Alaska) and Japan. It borders the Arctic Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, the Caspian Sea, the Baltic Sea, and the Black Sea.

At 17,075,400 square kilometres (6,592,800 sq mi), Russia is the largest country in the world, covering more than an eighth of the Earth’s land area; with 142 million people, it is the ninth largest by population. It extends across the whole of northern Asia and 40% of Europe, spanning 11 time zones and incorporating a great range of environments and landforms. Russia has the world's greatest reserves of mineral and energy resources, and is considered an energy superpower. It has the world's largest forest reserves and its lakes contain approximately one-quarter of the world's unfrozen fresh water.

Italy is located on the Italian Peninsula in Southern Europe, and on the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. Italy shares its northern Alpine boundary with France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia. The independent states of San Marino and the Vatican City are enclaves within the Italian Peninsula, while Campione d'Italia is an Italian exclave in Switzerland. Italy has been the home of many European cultures, such as the Etruscans and the Romans, and later was the birthplace of the universities and of the movement of the Renaissance, that began in Tuscany and spread all over Europe. Italy's capital Rome was for centuries the center of Western civilization; it also spawned the Baroque movement and seats the Catholic Church. Italy possessed a colonial empire from the second half of the nineteenth century to the mid-twentieth century. Today, Italy is a democratic republic and a developed country with the 8th-highest Quality-of-life index rating in the world.

NOSTRADAMUS'S PREDICTIONS FOR THIS CENTURY (2000 - 2100)

Nostradamus:

"Karol will pass away when Europe to the east of the Rhine and Russia

have reversed their coin. An age of wars kills the consecrated iron man.

After a year of pillage, Rome stripped bare; the bells no longer ring. Age."

NOTE:

Here it looks like Nostradamus is writing about the currency of Europe changing right around the time of World War 3. With the European Union, this has already started to become a reality. He says it will happen to the part of Europe that is to the "East of the Rhine and Russia"

The European countries that are East of the Rhine river include Germany, Liechtenstein, Italy, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Albania, Finland, Sweden, Lithuania, and Latvia, among others.

The European Union is composed of 27 independent sovereign countries which are known as member states. These include: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Clearly many of the European countries that are east of the Rhine river also happen to be member states of the European Union. Nostradamus wrote that when these countries "reverse their coin" (The European Union), then an "age of wars" will kill "the consecrated iron man".

The word consecrated means to make or declare sacred; set apart or dedicate to the service of a deity: to consecrate a new church building. So a "consecrated" man would be just that. "Iron" man I take to mean a man of war or someone who likes war or lives by war. Therefore if we put all the words together "Concecrated iron man" I believe Nostradamus is telling us that many of the men of today, the ones who make war sacred, and who dedicate themselves to it and serve it as if it was a deity, will mostly all be killed during World War 3 and during the "Age of wars" (Age of Pisces) as Nostradamus puts it.

The last line of the quatrain is also interesting, because Nostradamus gives us another clue related to the attack/assault on Rome when he writes that: "After a year of pillage, Rome stripped bare; the bells no longer ring." The bells no longer ring could be a reference to the Vatican city and its church bells. So perhaps in other words he is saying that the city of Rome, Italy will have been decimated. He does say that Rome will be pillaged for a whole year, and then "stripped bare". It's a very sad ending when you think about it. But perhaps a necessary one.

At the very end of this quatrain Nostradamus simply states one word. "Age". Perhaps the reason he ends it with this word is because he wants to give us all a hint that we may soon be entering into a brand new age (the Age of Aquarius) and that the age of Pisces will soon be coming to an end. This could be his reference to the end of the Age of wars, and to the beginning of an age of Peace. An age that many people continue to hope for.

The Rhine is one of the longest and most important rivers in Europe at 1,320 kilometres (820 mi), with an average discharge of more than 2,000 cubic metres per second (71,000 cu ft/s). The name of the Rhine comes from the archaic German Rhine, which in turn comes from Middle High German. The Rhine and the Danube formed most of the northern inland frontier of the Roman Empire, and since those days the Rhine has been a vital navigable waterway, carrying trade and goods deep inland. It has also served as a defensive feature, and has been the basis for regional and international borders. The many castles and prehistoric fortifications along the Rhine testify to its importance as a waterway. River traffic could be stopped at these locations, usually for the purpose of collecting tolls, by the state controlling that portion of the river. The Rhine's origins are in the Swiss Alps in the canton of Graubünden, where its two main initial tributaries are called Vorderrhein and Hinterrhein. The Vorderrhein (anterior Rhine) springs from Lake Tuma near the Oberalp Pass and passes the impressive Ruinaulta (the Swiss Grand Canyon). The Hinterrhein (posterior Rhine) starts from the Paradies Glacier near the Rheinquellhorn at the southern border of Switzerland. One of the latter tributaries originates in Val di Lei in Italy. Both tributaries meet near Reichenau, still in Graubünden. From Reichenau, the Rhine flows north as the Alpenrhein passing Chur and forming the border between Liechtenstein and then Austria on the east side, and canton St. Gallen of Switzerland on the west side, then emptying into Lake Constance. Emerging from Lake Constance, flowing generally westward as the Hochrhein it passes the Rhine Falls and is joined by the Aar river. The Aar more than doubles the Rhine's water discharge to an average of nearly 1,000 cubic meters per second. The Aar also contains the waters from the summit of Finsteraarhorn, at 4,274 metres the highest point of the Rhine basin. The Rhine roughly forms the boundary with Germany from Lake Constance until it turns north at the so-called Rhine knee at Basel. The Rhine is the longest river in Germany. It is here that the Rhine encounters some of its main tributaries, such as the Neckar, the Main and later the Moselle, which contributes an average discharge of over 300 cubic metres per second (11,000 cu ft/s). The Rhine then turns west and enters the Netherlands, where together with the rivers Meuse and Scheldt it forms the extensive Rhine-Meuse-Scheldt delta, one of the larger river deltas in western Europe. Crossing the border into the Netherlands at Spijk, close to Nijmegen and Arnhem the Rhine is at its widest, but the river then splits into three main distributaries: the Waal, Nederrijn ("Lower Rhine"😉 and IJssel.

NOSTRADAMUS'S PREDICTIONS FOR THIS CENTURY (2000 - 2100)

Nostradamus:

"Weapons will be heard fighting in the sky.

In the same year, the divines will become enemies.

They will unjustly debate holy laws,

Through thunder and war the true believers will die."

NOTE:

Weapons fighting in the sky, debates about "holy laws", thunder, war, people dead. Again, seems like another general description of World War 3.

"Weapons heard fighting in the sky" I would take to mean aircraft battles taking place above cities, etc.

Nostradamus also writes that in that same year as these air battles, the two "Divines" will become enemies. I take the "Divines" to mean the major World religions. The two religions that come to mind are Christianity and Islam.

Nostradamus mentions that these "Divines" will "unjustly debate holy laws". The key word here is "unjustly". Unjustly means not just or right; unfair; contrary to justice. Therefore Nostradamus is making it clear to us that these debates over "Holy laws" are pointless, and are not right, and unfair. This would accurately describe the debates and even the wars that spring up over the doctrines of Christianity vs Islam/Islam vs Christianity.

On the very last line of this quatrain Nostradamus writes that "Through thunder and war the true believers will die". Obviously Nostradamus is telling us that because of the unwillingness of either religion to back down/and or compromise, the anger directed towards each of their followers will sprout into wars, and could also be a major factor towards the cause of World War 3. He also makes it clear that these hard-core religious followers on both sides of the equation, those that are willing to take up arms against each other in blind faith, will end up suffering death as a result of their decisions.

NOSTRADAMUS'S PREDICTIONS FOR THIS CENTURY (2000 - 2100)

Nostradamus:

"Saturn in Cancer, Jupiter with Mars,

In February "Chaldondon Salvaterre,

The Sierra Morena assailed from three sides,

Near "Verbiesque" conflict mortal war."

NOTE:

On the first line of this quatrain Nostradamus mentions that "Saturn" will be in "Cancer". Obviously he is talking about the constellation of Cancer and the planet Saturn crossing it's domain. In Astrology, this is a unique combination, due to the fact that the energies of these two are almost completely opposite. In fact, this same conjunction occurred back in June of 2003, or around the same time that the United States invaded the country of Iraq in March of that same year.

In Astrology, Cancer is all loving and compassionate; while Saturn is harsh, unforgiving, and judging. There is a schizoid quality to this combination: Cancer sees the goodness in all things and Saturn mirrors the dark depressive realms. Cancer is all-giving and embracing; Saturn is withholding, limiting and the great imposer of rules and structure. Cancer is the archetypal nurturing mother, and Saturn is the archetypal judgmental, demanding father. Cancer teaches with love. Saturn instructs through discipline and hard work. As you might imagine, integrating these two energies isn't easy, especially during these fragile and charged times in which we live. During the time that this conjunction takes place, The act of opening our hearts, practicing compassion, forgiveness and nurturance will be harder, but the payoff will be enormous. So big, it might just save our lives. Saturn is all about long-term commitment. Saturn in Cancer is all about long-term commitment to spiritual values and the lessons of opening our hearts even in the hardest of times.

Usually Saturn brings some forms of death. However, more than any other quality, Saturn represents inner fear. Due to the Moon's rulership of Cancer and its irrational fears of the unknown, the hunker-down mentality we saw after 9/11 may become more prevalent during the time of this conjunction causing people to isolate themselves and cling to home and hearth. Up the Terror Alert, close the borders, seal the airports, keep out the intruders; this will be Cancer gone haywire. A Saturn in Cancer foreign policy sounds more like, "You are either part of the family, or you might as well fend for yourself." Or as George W Bush, a Cancer native put it, "You're either with us or against us." It is up to each of us to resist this growing paranoia and cynicism that will occur during this period. We can't allow Saturn to limit our ability to reach out in a gentle way and welcome others who look, sound or act different.

When this conjunction occurs the American people will have a great opportunity as a Nation. Because Cancer is compassion and Saturn confers great seriousness, it is possible that if enough of us insist on acting in accord with these principles, even if it means going against popular sentiment, we can redirect our nation's personality back to one of caring for and loving all people. If you think spirituality has nothing to do with politics and national identity, think again. Your spiritual practice has a great deal of influence over how our nation behaves. The more of us that insist upon kindness, compassion, and emotional openness in our own lives, the more our leaders will reflect these values.

Saturn in Cancer could mean the death of the traditional family, as we have known it. Some may think this is a good thing; that the days of the nuclear family were over long ago and popular culture just needs to catch up. Saturn represents rules and structure, and Cancer represents a shell we use to shelter ourselves from those we consider outsiders. Since emotional and personal security is the underlying issue for all Cancer natives, Saturn will be forcing all of us to redefine who we think of as family, who we turn to in tough times, who we would welcome into our own shelter should the need arise. In all of these cases, the definition of family must be extended to include many more individuals than just our blood relatives and close friends. It is true that a first impulse might be to hole up inside one's own shell, but this would be counterproductive to the times. Isolation is the first impulse, but reaching out and holding tight to as many as possible is the real lesson of Saturn in Cancer.

The Saturn in Cancer conjunction will be a time to reinvigorate our caring, nurturing selves and reign in our judgmental, fearful selves. We will be tested; that is the nature of Saturn. Saturn is the teacher, and instructs us to pay attention to the destructive traits and behaviors that live deep within us. We all must heal our impulse to fear, to withhold, and to imagine ourselves as anything but responsible for the terrible conditions in which our brothers and sisters around the globe live. If we each use this time properly, we will all come out of the Saturn in Cancer conjunction with stronger, more open, more compassionate hearts, and a world that is committed to the Cancerian values of love, peace and harmony.

Within the same first line of this quatrain, Nostradamus also mentions that "Jupiter" will be with "Mars".

In Astrology, Jupiter is the thinking person's Planet. As the guardian of the abstract mind, this Planet rules higher learning and bestows upon us a yen for exploring ideas, both intellectually and spiritually. Intellectually speaking, Jupiter assists us in formulating our ideology. In the more spiritual realm, Jupiter lords over religions and philosophy. A search for the answers is what Jupiter proposes, and if it means spanning the globe to find them, well, that's probably why Jupiter also rules long-distance travel. In keeping with this theme, Jupiter compels us to assess our ethical and moral values; it also addresses our sense of optimism. Luck and good fortune are associated with Jupiter for good reason. This is a kind and benevolent Planet, one which wants us to grow and flourish in a positive way. Jupiter may be judge and jury, but it's mostly an honorable helpmate, seeing to it that we're on the right path.

In Astrology, Mars is the action Planet of the Zodiac. The 'Red Planet,' after all, should be pretty fiery, and Mars does not disappoint. Energy, passion, drive and determination are all right up Mars's alley. This Planet commands you (and yes, Mars does rule the military) to stand up, be noticed and get things done -- sitting on the sidelines belongs somewhere else in the heavens. Simply put, Mars speaks to the power and confident expression of the individual. Ambition and competition are also within Mars's realm. Whether it's at work or on the field of play, Mars encourages us to face challenges and to be our best -- or better. Aggression is part of the plan here, although Mars also values courage and honor. Assertion and a daring, fearless nature please this Planet.

During this conjunction with Jupiter and Mars that Nostradamus is describing, we will all be experiencing the effects of both planets combined together.

On the second line of this quatrain, Nostradamus writes that "In February "Chaldondon Salvaterre,". Obviously Nostradamus is giving us a clue that something is going to happen during the month of February. The "Chaldondon Salvaterre" to this day remains a mystery to many translators and scholars. It could very well relate to the name of a person or place, but at this time has never been properly translated publicly.

As to what events may be occurring in the month of February, we can look to the next two lines for more clues. On line 3 of this quatrain, Nostradamus writes that "The Sierra Morena assailed from three sides". The Sierra Morena is a mountain range which stretches for 400 km East-West across southern Spain. So again, we have Spain involved in the prediction, and it appears that Spain is also due for some serious trouble during World War 3. He writes that it will be "assailed from three sides", showing us the scope of the attack and that it will be a very clever one that will most likely be very effective. Being attacked from three different sides would be difficult for any country to defend against.

On the last line of this quatrain, Nostradamus writes that "Near "Verbiesque" conflict mortal war." The word Verbiesque is a bit of a mystery as well, but perhaps it also refers to an area in or around Spain, since it would be keeping in sync with the rest of the quatrain. Either way, no matter where "Verbiesque" is located, Nostradamus associates it with conflict and mortal war around the same time that Spain is due to be attacked.

Not to mention that both Spain and France are mentioned many times in Nostradamus's quatrains as places that are going to be attacked during our lifetimes.

NOSTRADAMUS'S PREDICTIONS FOR THIS CENTURY (2000 - 2100)

Nostradamus:

"The gods will make it appear to mankind,

That they are the authors of a great conflict:

The once serene sky will show Sword and Lance,

The Left will be the most afflicted."

NOTE:

In this prediction Nostradamus mentions that the men of the World will believe that they are the offers of a "great conflict." By "great conflict" I do believe that Nostradamus is talking about a World War. In this case, I believe it has to do with World War 3. It's interesting that he mentions that it will only "appear" to mankind that they are the authors of the war. The only thing I can take from this is that Nostradamus is trying to tell us that some things exist beyond the realm of our control, and that some things were set in motion long before we may have thought they ever were. Possibly hinting that World War 3 will fall into this category as well.

On the third line Nostradamus writes that the once "serene" sky will show "sword and lance". The word serene means clear and free of storms or unpleasant change. So clearly he is mentioning a time when the sky was free from air battles, but then goes on to make it clear that when this prophecy takes place, it won't be so any longer. The reference to the sky showing "sword and lance" again seems to give us a clue that Nostradamus is talking about the coming "air battles" that will take place during the war.

On the last line of this prediction Nostradamus says that the "Left" will be the most afflicted. If you look on a World Map, and if you were to draw a line between Africa and Europe (England, France, Germany etc.) and the countries of China, Iran, and Russia, you would see that on the right side of that line would be China, Iran, and Russia, and that on the left side would be Europe And Africa. Therefore when Nostradamus mentions that the "The Left will be the most afflicted", I do believe that he is describing the damage that will occur in the Countries of Europe and Africa, as well as in the middle-eastern countries that are closer to them, and that the damage that will occur in those places will be greater than the damage that will occur in the countries on the "right" (China, Iran, Russia, etc.).
