At least what I've experienced was real from the off..

I really knew that was coming but to be honest I don't mind. I'm not ready to have another relationship yet, the last one really ****ed me up for months. I regretted the one night stands also but that's the way it goes.At least what I've experienced was real from the off..

And there are also a lot of people who find it ****ing silly. And I'm better than most of them because I only think it's ****ing silly if they fall in love before actually having met.

Of course, but people are never themselves on it, no matter what they claim, everyone holds things back, you can never truly know someone online until you've met them. I'm not against people starting strong friendships online, meeting up, falling in love... Just having the order differently and falling in love before meeting up.

I don't think there's much difference between the Internet and real life...people always try to play a role that they want to be. Just because you met someone "irl" doesn't mean that you have met their "true self", so to speak. They act...to appear the way they want to be...and just like you can penetrate that outer shell in person, you can do so on the Internet as well. In many cases you might learn more about the person through the Internet than you would "irl", as people tend to hide their emotions in order not to become vulnerable. Really, both methods have their pros and cons, and you can surely fall in love with a person on the Internet, whether they might be fake or actually genuine, without having met.

No, but a person you know IRL that you've fallen in love with you should know. The word love is thrown around far too loosely, that is my main problem with love that begins online as I don't believe you can feel real love for someone you've never met. Maybe if it happened to me I'd feel differently, but I don't ever want it to happen.

Well, I agree with "love" being thrown around easily. And online relationships being a main offender...but offline life is not really that far behind with fake couples in "love", don't you think?
