un-japanese characteristics on characters that are homegrown full japanese.
if it's explained like the person is half something else, wearing cosmetics, or the character is from another country or something that's fine, but most of the time it's passed off as the usual and sticks out like a sore thumb.
-anything you see in Shin Chan, you're sick of it already.
-stars popping up in peoples eyes.
-hearts appearing in backgrounds when characters have a "moment".
-videogame based animes that go from good to bad (DMC I'm lookin at you).
-there's too much romance mangas (love is so old when you read that crap).
Ahh the usual
-Mecha/military animes in where the world depends on a handful of children/teenagers. (like Adults dont have the experience?)
- harem animes. They should be obliterated.
-pink haired 'kawaii's, ridiculously proportioned girls with the most minuscule noses and lips that all seem to be bred inferior to males and use their own names instead of 'I'
-Long haired bishounen. I cannot stand a man that has longer hair than me.
-Dramatic dialogue. anywhere, anytime.
eg. "we've got 5 seconds on the clock, let's do this for kei, his life depended on winning and no matter what, no one will win it like us!"
my god, I can't even ATTEMPT to speak like them. it's ridiculous.
-But I take solace in knowing that things like this are Only in anime, and that japanese people are actually quite normal, so I tolerate it all.
-albeit barely.
speaking of people who are hyped but suck in the long run......anyone notice that in the anime of Grappler Baki, the aikido dude who wanted a rematch against Yujiro always kept talking about everyone's moves, knew everything about every art known or unknown.............and couldn't even beat a sumo and got eliminated in the 1st round of the tournament. and after all that, he had the nerve to start lecturing everyone again 😆

losing to yujiro wasn't that bad cause I mean you know just about everyone loses to Yujiro but ye losing to that sumo guy in the first round ... I found that to be a bit sketchy.
