dark night should be nominated in mostly awards according to me it's was just a superb movie i will give this movie 10/10.

The academy doesn't give awards to comic movies. Heath only won IMO because he died.

Nah. It was probably because he played a very impressive portayal of a mix of comic madness and pure, psychopathic insanity. Then added with the deviance and genius to create a single, very scary yet funny villain of the likes past years haven't seen in ages.

Him dying didn't exactly harm his chances, though...

As good as Ledger played him, and I do him extreamly high marks, he wasn't the best actor in the film.
