Not much is known about these men and at times we have to sift through some serious embellishment where these chaps were concerned. While a large 'berserking' man would put the fear of God into peasant levies, the same couldn't be said of highly trained elite warriors. I personally think the Spartans in any other battle would take the sight of these naked nutters in their stride.
