I like Superman, actually. I just don't think he is at the level some people on here make him out to be. And so it sort of irritates me.

I doubt the one hand comment was serious.

I hope I have never come accross as unreasonable in by defense of Superman; who has somehow managed to end up in yet another thread he doesn't belong...

Trying to call a European out using US Presidents...

ethnocentrism = fail. 😂

Why? I can name most European leaders for the past couple of decades.

And American elections are much more widely reported in Europe than European politics are here.

So that's kind of a BS argument- the European person is the one being ethnocentric, seeing as how they're basically stating that another's countries' politics are irrelevant.

Yes I can

too 🙂

Not only because of wiki 😉

Anyway, politics aren't very interesting to me. Sure you can't watch TV without hearing about the American President etc. But how many came before him isn't important enough it seems.
There are important informations and trivial informations.
Bill Clinton - former US President = Important information
42nd President of the US, not very important
William = Bill or Billy, you don't learn this stuff in history lessons ^^
Hindenburg (burg meas castle) or Hindenberg (berg means mountain) is more or less trivial too.

It's not about Ethnocentrism it's about ignorance 😄

kidding ^^

I hope you're not serious. Because I wasn't...

No need to become anti-american 🙁

The majority is surely good and nice. One shouldn't judge an whole country based on the actions of a few.

Lol, it wasn't anti American. It was satire on the whole "does it matter?"

The word 'satire' reminds me of an ex girlfriend of mine. British, wrote satire, and was a former stripper. Mmm...

Ahem. Yeah, KT should beat BA pretty easily.

Guess who doesn't lose?

Adam.
