They have. They make special joysticks and game pads for PC games. Many hardcore PC gamers that I know have rigged their PS2 or Xbox controllers to play PC games.

i've used a ps2 pad to play pc games.

and i seriously doubt, with world of warcraft, dawn of war 2 and starcraft on the way, that pc gaming is in any massive trouble...

Also add Diablo 3.

Mouse and keyboard is the way to go for RTS, and FPS.

You can use a controller for most of those games, but whats the point?

Sega has allegedly pulled funding from both Obsidian's Aliens RPG and Gearbox's Aliens: Colonial Marines, sources have revealed to Joystiq. Supposedly, 20 people were laid off from Obsidian yesterday and more could soon lose their jobs. The layoffs also affected the team working on Alpha Protocol, another Obsidian-developed, Sega-published title. Without the Aliens RPG, Obsidian is apparently on the ropes, our sources say.

As for Gearbox, Sega allegedly stopped paying the developer for its work on Colonial Marines for "a while" -- production has since ceased. At this point, it's unclear whether Colonial Marines has been "halted" or "canceled," which Gearbox president Randy Pitchford – in response to a previous rumor – called an "inaccurate characterization."

This rumor comes less than 24 hours after Sega announced Aliens vs. Predator and refused to answer questions about the previously announced Aliens titles. Sega turning off the money tap wouldn't exactly be shocking, given the company plans to lay off 560 people and already lost $119 million in the first three quarters of its fiscal year. Requests for clarification from Sega and Gearbox on the status of the titles have not yet been returned as of press time. An Obsidian representative responded with "no comment" to our inquiry. Im fine with the june release date, but to push it back till next year and then hinting to us it might be cancelled is extremely annoying.

Sure, the game may be similar to left 4 dead, but i am so sick of these cliche zombie's(i only enjoy playing as a zombie in that game) genre where you shoot countless zombies but at the least there are classes in this game and the aliens are actually smart.

Was so hyped up and now this sandsack of crap pops up.

its a Squad-Based Shooter sorta like Gearbox Softwares other games Brothers In Arms.

I just think its similar, 4 people co op vs a bunch of aliens just that yea.

But what exactly is a squad base shooter?

It's going to be like GRAW in terms that you control one character at a time but can control 3 others by stepping in their shoes.

There will be online co-op and even though it sounds like Left 4 Dead, its not going to be like that.

Also i had a look at AVP 2 for the PC for the reviews, Seriously 5/10 on gamespot WTF ??
