Nope, you can´t take Afghanistan unless you kill all radical Muslims who will be volunteering left right and center hoping for a highway to paradise and those virgins.

Canada is out in 2011 (iirc) and the Brits have already said there is no military solution to deal with the Taliban

Pakistan says their country is full of Taliban, to the point of instability, and are proposing allowing Sharia law in the NW regions as appeasement.

No army throughout history has ever conquered Afghanistan. If the Russians couldn't do it, despite implementing far more ruthless tactics than we would ever even consider then we aren't going to.
