1. Stanley Kubrick: Full Metal Jacket, 2001: A Space Oddysey, Eyes Wide Shut, Barry Lyndon, Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Dr Strangelove and Lolita are all masterpieces in their own way.

2. Quentin Tarantino: How can you fault the guy responsible for Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Sin City and Reservoir Dogs? Oh, and although he didn't direct it, he also wrote True Romance...

3. Martin Scorcese: Responsible for some of my very favourite films of all time, such as GoodFellas, The Departed, Casino and Taxi Driver, among others.

4. Ridley Scott: A true multi-genre genius. He's made Gladiator, Alien, GI Jane and one of my all-time favourites, Blade Runner.

5. Robert Rodriguez: Yeah, he's done some weak shit, but he also did the Mariachi Trilogy and Planet Terror.

Tarantino directed only a few scenes for Sin City, Robert Rodriguez and creator of the comics was responsible for most of the directing in it.

Damn, you're right. It's ages since I've seen it, and TBH saw it on his IMDB page and completely forgot it wasn't really his....

Good scene though!

You know what, as much as I love Christopher Nolan, I think David Lynch has to take number 1 spot.

Lynch is the man!

I also love Lucio Fulci, Tarantino and Guillemo.
